Hello to all. I am pondering booking a solo cruise myself. I will be 39 when I board and 40 when I disembark. I have never cruised solo, but my husband and friends have been unable to get time off work on such short notice. I need a break and the price is right!

Hello, all. I was directed to this thread to try to break the ice. Circumstances have brought me to the point that I have the means to book on this sailing (and I've got the time off of work) but I'm nervous about going solo. I'm a 29 year old guy and curious if there are other folks who might be doing the solo thing or how it might work that I wouldn't spend the grand majority of my time alone with my thoughts. I am half solo... i don't hope so..but... i hope my friend want to do more on the ship then smoking and surf online.... in the parks and swimparks i have to do almost everything by my self... :'( she is afraid of hights? And don't like to swim.

Sounds like a party to me! If we have 3 solo cruisers on this thread I'm sure there will be a bunch more on the ship.

Add me to the solo cruisers list. I was able to book last minute. I hope to take more pictures than I did the last time, which was just under 3,000. (I don't even think people are in more than 100 of those pictures.)

I am sure I missed many parts of the ship (Disney Dream) during my January 2012 cruise. In January, I was lucky to upgrade to a Concierge room and there were 5 of us (one concierge room CAT 00V, one CAT 5B room), so I have great pictures of the Concierge areas including an empty Concierge Lounge (except for the staff).

(I can't believe this is my first post and I registered 2 years ago.)

There will be 4 of us o the Fantasy January 26, 2013 sailing. We have two adjoining CAT 4A rooms on the Fantasy booked as of now. I thought about doing a CAT 00T connecting to CAT 00V, but my friends don't want to splurge. (In fact, there were going to be 6 of us and we had another CAT 4A room, but the other couple bailed out!)

I do not blog, but if this forum can handle my photos (5MB each), I'll upload them when I get a chance. I already have them organized by sailing day from that January 2012 sailing on the Dream. (We were in 11010 on the Dream in January 2012.)

I didn't think the door to the stateroom was as bad as the "inside" the door from the concierge lounge to the concierge sun deck!
