Yes you are right. I had a feeling you would know Karin and Tom from Austria if you did the FE and the meet. They are great people, we met them on our first cruise being tablemates on the Wonder and started talking about our travels in Europe, then found out we also had the DISboards in common. We are meeting up with them when we get to WDW next week and are cruising with them again next summer.

Oh please tell them how much we enjoyed their company and FE gifts! No wonder they needed a full suitcase just for the gifts. Tell them hello from Lisa and Jo. We are the ones who had a party in our room on sea day.

I will tell them you said hello. I know Karin will talk me into doing the FE on the Fantasy. They have planned out our first day at WDW lunch at WPE (their favorite Austrian) and dinner at OKW. They wanted us to see a DVC resort which is one of their favorites. We are staying at POR for the first time, we are getting excited about that too.

Cancelled my Discover atlantis excursion.. it got bad reviews online. I think since its my first Disney Cruise we will try to enjoy the boat as much as possible. Maybe get off the boat in nassau for just a little bit.

We did the same thing. I had booked the dolphin encounter and then decided to cancel it so we could just enjoy the ship! This is out first Disney cruise also!!!

Circumstances have brought me to the point that I have the means to book on this sailing (and I've got the time off of work) but I'm nervous about going solo. I'm a 29 year old guy and curious if there are other folks who might be doing the solo thing or how it might work that I wouldn't spend the grand majority of my time alone with my thoughts. You will only be alone with your thoughts unless you want to be. There are SO many things to do on the ship. There are lots of activities that you can participate in and I am sure there will be lots of people to hang out with. The clubs run pretty late, there are trivia nights, game nights, ship kitchen tours. When you get on board read your "personal navigator" and scope out some things that peak your interest. If you are an introvert you can still have fun!

Same goes for all you first timers.

There is also a ships tour usually on the first day. You get to meet some amazing crew members and get a tour of the ship so you get your directions straight quickly and dont miss out on fun areas. Check out the clubs during the day. Someone buy me a bottle of that champaign from the pink room, PLEASE!!! J/k

The neat thing about cruises is you can do as little or as much as you want and no one will say a thing! They have activities booked from sun-up to way after sundown.

Those going ashore in nassau and not doing an excursion you can check out the straw market or just wander the town. Remember in the "straw market" to BARGAIN and HAGGLE! Just because the price is $20 for that cool looking shell sculpture doesn't mean you have to pay it! Last trip we got wooden tiki masks that were marked $20 each for $15 for TWO!

Wow, I really should start to think about packing. Kids are still clueless!
