So I am planning my first cruise with my partner and wondered. If we both dress in tuxedos for the "formal" day, would this be acceptable? I know it lists gowns for women, but we are not gown people. We are tux people and just wondered. We can deal with the stares from the crowd, but don't want to be told we need to go back to our room because we don't meet a "dress" code.

Thanks in advance

You won't be sent back to your room because you don't meet the dress code. my partner and I never wear gowns. She wears a formal pant suit and I wear a woman's suit with satin lapels.

Are you on the Disney Cruise? If so how many days? Quite frankly, many people dont really get that formal on formal nights anymore. My last cruise in October (Carnival) we both just wore button down shirts and dress pants, not even a tie. :confused3 Sorry, I'm on vacation, and I dont feel like getting dressed up to the nines! I had enough of that at Catholic High School.
