Hello, we are going in our first Disney Cruise this summer. I heard somewhere that when you book your excursions you don’t pay for them or find out if you got them until you get on board the cruise. This is so different from any other cruise line I’ve been on. Is this true?

You will be able to confirm them before you sail. But, Disney does not actually charge you until the cruise itself.

Which itinerary are you doing, and we can advise you more. But yes, you will know after the time of paying in full (75 days out for a new cruiser) if you can book the excursions you want.

Check your reservations on DCL's web site to see if you have confirmed excursions. If you don't see them call them up and check. You will get printed tickets/passes in an envelope on your stateroom desk when you enter your room. Double check then and let the excursion desk know if there is a problem. Cruise on...

When you book the excursions, you'll be given the option of one or more times to select. If a time doesn't show up for selection, it's not available. Once you've selected and confirmed, you're booked for that time. When you log into your account, you'll see the times in your schedule.
