I keep seeing posts about keeping all of your cruise documents in your day bag - ready for check in. I want to make sure I have ALL of those documents!! The only paper, other than my passport, that I have from online check in is the port arrival form. What else am I missing? What else do I need? I'm such a planner and feel nervous because this is our first cruise and I'm responsible for 8 of us!! :-) TIA!!

Also a first timer and I was under the impression that other than ID all you need is the port arrival form

That's probably all you need to check in at cruise terminal but personally I keep one folder with all important papers for the trip together (any flight, hotel or car /shuttle info and trip insurance info) and always in my day bag just so I always have it on my person. That and medications/contacts /glasses stuff as well. Just all irreplaceable items. Sorry in advance if this is not what you were asking.

ETA: I know you weren't asking this but bc you said you were first timers, just a tip: We make copies of our passports and hide them in the lining of our luggage. Just in case anything is lost or stolen. And we leave copies with a family member at home as well with a copy of our itinerary .

Thanks! That's what I wanted to know. Documents just sounds like more than one page - so I was nervous!! Good idea about the copies of passports! Thanks!! :-)

My travel agent gives you a folder and prints out copies of EVERYTHING you might need. And mine just came today! Yay! Cruise is literally around the corner.

All you need for check-in at the port is the online check-in form, as well as all 8 of your passports. The "other papers" must be for people who have not done the online check-in process and are waiting for someone to do it for them at the port. If you have already done all of that, then you are all set. Just bring your cruise booklet that came in the mail with you, as it outlines the cruise for you and your family. You will receive your Key to the World cards for each member of your party, as well as a Personal Navigator, which will let you know about everything going on on the ship that day. Important to note and pay attention to is the safety drill, as well as the fun sail away party that takes place after the safety drill. The only other form that you most likely will need to fill out at port arrival time is a health questionnaire. They just want to make sure that no one is getting onboard the ship who is sick or contagious. Enjoy your first cruise with DCL! You will have so much fun that you will want to book your next cruise while onboard! Bon Voyage!!!
