It's been awhile so refresh my memory.... There are buses that go park to park right? I mean we don't have to go to Downtown Disney to go to another park or anything?!?

Wanting to do Epcot, AK & then MK, are there any boats that go in between any of the parks? Short cuts to help? After all... It's 1 day! Lol

Yes, they have park to park buses except for MK to Epcot (monorail) and Epcot to Studios (boat). You can't actually take a bus to or from the village to a park.

Hmmm, thanks! I may have to change the park order to accommodate! But I know we can't do it all either!!! Oh decisions, decisions!!!!

Go to Epcot first...then take their bus to AK. From AK, take the bus to TTC..this is where the buses to and from both AK and DHS go when dropping off guests for MK. Then, you can take either the boat or monorail over to MK.

Or, head to Epcot, walk over to one of the Epcot resorts if you're in WS now. Head to BC, take their bus to AK. From AK, take the bus to the CR..then walk over to MK..about 10 mins.

Thanks for the tip!!! But help me with the TTC - what is that & where? A bus goes there? So these are the fastest ways around then, right?

There is a bus stop at Epcot that will take you to DHS.

TTC = Ticket and Transportation Center. This is the parking lot that is used by the MK = Magic Kindom park visitors. You can park here for $14 and take the monorail to MK. Or you can take the monorail to MK and transfer to another monorail to go to Epcot.

The fastest way to get around is with a car. You can spend a good hour just getting to one place and then another hour to get back. And that is just to go to one place. Factor in if you are staying a week and visit one park a day you will have wasted 14 hours waiting on transportation. So having a car would be faster.

The TTC (ticket and transportation center) is actually the parking lot for MK. This is where anyone driving would park. It is also where the monorail platform to both the MK resorts and MK park line, as well as the Epcot line is. The large ferry is located there as well....makes runs between MK and TTC.

The buses that run between DHS and MK and AK and MK both go here. They do not go to the same area as the resort buses going to MK go. That may very well happen at some future date, but as of now, you have to go to the TTC to get the bus to either AK or DHS.

If you look at the area, from overhead, there is the lake in the center, with MK at the bottom at 6:00, then the CR is at 9:00, the TTC at about 11:00, the Polynesian at 1:00 and the GF at 3:00.

You could take a cab at some point. But, here's the thing....you won't be able to do everything in that day. I've done three parks in one day...actually I've done all four but only did a few things in each park. I started at AK, stayed there until about 1pm, then headed to Epcot until about 6ish. We were staying at the Swan on that trip, so headed back there, put on some warmed clothes (it was mid-Jan), and headed to MK. BUT...there was a party that night....if I remember correctly it was the Pirates and Princesses Party about 5 years ago. So, MK closed around 8ish, and the party started and you could stay in the MK until midnight or later...I forget.
You need to find the park that closes the latest and make that your last park...that will probably be MK.

Well, we are on a cruise & simply stop 1 day as a port stop is all, so trying to fit in what we can!

I'd go to AK first, then either Epcot & monorail to MK or go to MK then monorail to Epcot. I'd end my day with the park that's open latest. Since AK closes earliest, I'd get that out of the way 1st. 3 parks in one day is very ambitious if you haven't been in a while and don't have a list of favorites to hit quickly then move on.

I know it's only one day but IIRC it's a pretty long day in port right? Maybe I'm thinking of the NYC sailings. They were like 6am to midnight. Are DCL cruisers able to show their KTTW for extra magic hours?

Knowing park hours & whether you can do magic hours would be an important factor in which order to do. :scratchin

Yes we too get Extra Magic Hours, it's Epcot from 8-9. All the other parks open at 9 & no late hours :(
We we are hoping to start at Epcot (Soarin & TT), if we get in & out fast we want to hit AK (Kali, Dinosour for sure), if not straight to MK for the rest of the day.

If you're only there for one day I would take a taxi between parks to save time. Otherwise you will have to factor in time waiting for the buses. If you're lucky the bus might be leaving right away, but it could also be a 20-30 minute wait for the next bus or monorail.

Also, if you decide to take a taxi to the MK, ask the driver to take you to the Contemporary because from there you can walk to the MK in about 10 minutes. If you say MK, he'll have to drop you off at the TTC and then you'll need to take the ferry or monorail - which is more time consuming than going to the Contemporary.
