I had a feeling also they would not tell who was picked. I think the surprise will be he is not a construction worker. I don't think he is a millionaire, but I happen to know that heavy equipment operators make at least 20.00 and hour. So the 19,000 would be about 9.00 /hour. Maybe he owns the construction co?

The upcoming Survivor is going to be very interesting to watch.

Time to go to work.

When I read that there were 2 more episodes of Joe I figured they wouldn't tell us last night and wait til next week but it was a waste if you've seen it from the beginning. I've heard a rumour that Zora is really a millionaire so that may be the twist. Guess we'll have to wait til next Monday.

We are in another cold snap. Yuck.

Off to get DS out of the shower and on the bus.

Fiona

2 inches last night...another inch or three tomorrow...possible STORM on Satuarday....DCL ,"take me away".......

Bette

Dan the Mickey on the list was drawn by our DD(Stacey) who is Katie's Mom.

Kathy and I have a full day of visit's with Nurses for Newborns and then we have the Katie monster tonight.

Talked to Cathy with @C last night and she has the creeping crud. Sick and under the weather. She said that Art would fix her some soup, but that Ashlee would want half of it.:teeth:

Mike

Bette-- I think we all need 'taken away'. We got a few more inches last night and we're all sick of it here too.

Dan-- I'm with Mary.... You should visit HH sometime. We have 200 of our points there and totally love it. We were even lucky enough to capture the elusive member cash discount to extend our stay by a night last summer.

Mary-- Have you ever been to HH in the fall when they have the oyster roast on Friday nights? Yummm! I think it was around $29 for adults/ $9 for kids, all you can eat and drink. They had oysters, shrimp, ribs, chicken fingers, potatoes, hush puppies, corn on the cob, mac & cheese. Beer on tap, lemonade, iced tea. Also had a camp fire with an entertainer playing guitar and singing. Make your own s'mores for dessert. Very good and lots of fun.

We are on deck 6 with the twins and Amy & Chris.

We went to our first DISmeet Saturday afternoon. It was so nice to talk Disney with people who don't think we're possessed.

Welcome to all the new members to our group! Hope to see you posting soon.

Colleen

To all of those in the snowy north, I really don't envy you at all. I grew up in Chicago, so I know what the snow and cold are like, but I'll take sunny FL any day!! We're headed to Chicago at the end of the month, and as much as I despise the snow, I hope that there is at least one little snowfall while we're there. We're bringing Emily, and I think that she'll really enjoy the snow. I'm sure that she'll be puzzled by it though, since she's never been anywhere colder than VA in May, or winters here in FL.

Wow Colleen, you're really making me want to head to HH sometime. The oyster roast sounds tasty!!

Colleen, it looks like you are just down the hall from Chris and I. I'm sure that we'll be seeing you around deck 6. :D :D :D

Well, keep warm northerners. We'll be thinking about you when we head to WDW on Saturday for the day. ;) ;) ;)

Wow, I missed all the action on the boards last night. I was doing my taxes while watching Seventh Heaven and Joe Millionaire. I had to keep switching between Everyone One Loves Raymond and Joe for the first half hour. I hope he goes with Zora. I have also gotten into the reality shows, I think it is being couped up in the house with all the bad weather. I just have trouble remembering what night each show is on. I think American Idol is tonight, but have to go to a meeting so will try to tape it.

I am still torn between navigator veranda and regular veranda. I showed Norm the pictures of the navigator and he is ok with it, but I still am not sure. I just like to sit out there and look out and can't with the navigator. However, on the last cruise we weren't out there much during the day time and what is there to see at night. I need to decide soon. The only navigator left are on Deck 5, but still Cat 6 on Deck 6. I am terrible at making decision, but will soon have to make one.

I have never been to HH, but have been to Vero. I think they are similiar. Norm and I like Vero, but my sons were bored there. They like action and are used to the beaches in MD and Del with boardwalks. I have look at buying extra points at HH on the resale market. Maybe some day.

Well, need to get to work.

Nancy

It's now snowing here. The roads are being covered and I hope the drive home isn't too bad plus we are going out to dinner because Jim stopped smoking exactly a year ago today. He didn't have a lot of choice in the matter since he ended up in the hospital having his appendix out but he didn't start up again when he got home which has been great.

Would love to have some Florida heat here but I guess we'll have to wait a while.

Survivor should be interesting this time around. Plan to at least start watching it. I like seeing the locations and the games. Am watching some of the reality shows but not all of them. I'll have to tape JAG tonight though if the snow doesn't keep us in.

Waiting for warmth and sun.

Fiona

Fiona-- Thanks for putting the link to the weight loss challenge in your sig. I didn't know there was one going. Heading over there now to sign up.

Colleen

Colleen -- I need all the encouragement that I can get. I had lost weight but then had to change medications and the new medication caused a 15 pound weight gain that I'm now trying to lose. If I lose enough weight I might be able to lower the dose on one of my medications which would be nice.

It's stopped snowing here but still looks pretty gray and it's cold and windy. I am sooooo tired of the cold.

Fiona

Fiona-- Ok, I'm all signed up over there. Thanks!

It's cold and cloudy here too. They're calling for 2-4" more snow tonight and tomorrow, with high winds. I'm more than ready for spring and I promise not to complain about the mud the dog tracks in! ;)

Colleen

I'll promise not to complain about the mud either. We have a white minature american eskimo and boy does she like to roll in the mud. We send out a white dog and get back in a brown dog. She gets bathed a lot in the spring!! Her paws always seem dirty but she loves it and this year I won't complain just as long as it gets warm soon.

I think we are supposed to get more snow tonight too. It's been snowing off and on all day. I don't mind the snow so much as the cold and it's been really, really cold this year. It's not usually this cold here. They have issued another cold weather alert for tonight through the end of the week at least. The last one lasted for 2 weeks so hopefully this one will be shorter.

Fiona

The snow is just about all melted here. We got up to 50 here today.

We are keeping Katie tonight and her mom and dad are coming to get her tomorrow afternoon.

Have to make sure that I see my show(JAG) tonight. Talk to you later. Mike

I was very excited to hear we might have a new show when we sail. Even more excited to hear we might be the 1st cruise to see it. I also read the following on another thread:

1. The Magic will go into dry dock in September of 2003.

2. The ESPN bar on deck 11 will be closed and replaced with a "teen dance club" since the ESPN bar was not used often by guests.

3. All of the bars (Rockin Bar D, etc.) will be redone and renamed.

4. The ship from water level down will be recoated and have rust removed. I am told they had a problem with this before, applied a special coating to the ship that was supposed to last a long time, but it peeled away within months and the hull is showing rust.. so they will try and fix this again.

The cast member didn't say if a current teen area would be converted to adult use to replace ESPN.

Once again our gang will be 1st to see these things!! Last time it was so cool to have the Woder and the Magic together in port and then to have the Wonder escort us out, and have duleing horns! Way Cool!

I am hooked on the show 24. I know it is WAY over the top, but I love it anyway :p
I am really looking forward to Survivor this season!!! I also hope Joe picks Zora, but I think he is thinking with his "little brain"

Sorry for your poor weather in the North. I will not complain about it being a chilly 40 degrees in the morning here in SC:cool:

Nancy and Norm...if you get a regular veranda on deck 6 you will be with the "really cool" cruistoberfesters!!!;)

Colleen, I have not had the oyster roast at HH, but they did have a Bar-B-Que last year, during President's Day weekend. We had our own oysters, but we were very close to the campfire area, so we were able to enjoy the music, while we ate our oysters! We asked for the same room again this year.

That's an improvement, Dave. You used to have to wait a full 60 seconds not too long ago!!

I'm so frustrated I'm thinking of setting up my own chat room!

Ave - Have you tried posting on the Tech Board? Tell them exactly what the problem is and they may be able to help you. If we can't figure out Richard's problem before Saturday, that's what I am going to do. But I think he probably needs to re-download ICHAT. I have a feeling he may have deleted it somehow.

Hello everyone,

Mike and I were out today doing our Nurses for Newborn visits and stopped in Lebanon at the Cracker Barrel for lunch and to pick up Katie there when her mama and daddy brought her. I was looking around the shop part of the place when I noticed a tiny baby in a carrier and stopped to talk with the mother. Come to find out, I had talked with her a few weeks ago and had plans to see her and the baby when she came home from the hospital. The baby was born 2 months early and that is one of the criteria that I can use to see the babies. I asked her if she had heard of NFN and she said that someone had called her several weeks ago. I asked her if her name was Shellie and she said yes. I told her that was me calling! I had lost her address and phone number and she had lost mine! We live over 50 miles apart! What are the chances of that happening? Well, I will be seeing her Monday!

I hear Katie crying. Mike just got her to sleep and tried to lay her down. I must say she is just a little spoiled and wants to be held while she naps. I bet when the next one comes along her mama and daddy will have figured some things out.;)

Hello to the new ones. I think we will have a nice time on deck 2 also. There are several of us there too. Mike and I have been on deck 7 (twice) and deck 5. When we were on deck 2 visiting with Cathy and Art we realized how quiet it was. We could hear the sea sounds. It was nice and we are looking forward to it. It is also close to the doors to get on and off the boat. :)

Take care, Kathy
