Nancy,

If you decide on a Navigator on 5 then we can have a
"Nancys from PA with Nav verandahs" wing

Then again maybe that's too long.

We really like the Nav because we have private outside space. Then again we don't 'sit' out there much. We like to stand and watch everything. We've had Cat 10, 7, 6,4 and 3. We've stayed on Decks 2, 5, 6 and 8. I think the Nav has the best of both worlds - outside but not too expensive. But if DCL wants to upgrade me again this year I will happily take regular verandah.

Nancy (in PA also)

Hold them there horses, Cheese. You may just be in need of a hearing aide!!!! Yes, I did say I am a woman of my word because I bought a drink when I said I would (notice the past tense). I have not promised any drinks to anyone this time around, not yet at least. :teeth:

S'matter of fact, I'm still waiting on my three drinks from Dan!
:p

Okay, I had decided since I came on-line tonight shortly prior to 7 p.m. and found something like FIVE new pages to read, that I would just start responding to what struck me as I read it and not read the entire thread first as I usually do. But being torn between doing that and doing other things, it got to be just a bit too much and I finally just decided to continue reading before posting any more. I just finished catching up.

Hmm. Dan should go stand in the corner!

Mary - That is interesting news about the changes with the Magic. We know when to book, don't we? I bet they still keep Common Ground as the regular meeting place and ESPN will be for the special dances and stuff.

Cathy - I think we had told you that Richie was born two months early. We had a nurse that would call and pop in now and again and I never understood why. She didn't do anything. She didn't give me any useful information. She just interrogated me. I felt like she was scrutinizing my motherhood methoding. When she called the third time to tell me she was coming over, I told her no.

Anyway, now I feel like the worse mother in the world. Richie - who even though he was a preemie never had any real problems and was never a sick child and is very rarely sick - has not been feeling well. This started on Wednesday night. I figured he had the flu or something but when it persisted, yesterday finally became go-to-the-doctor day and guess what? He has pneumonia!!! :( Mother-of-the-Year Award for me, NOT!

Hi All,
We actually got back last Friday night. late. We had a great time. The weather was perfect (for us anyway!) It was 70 most days, 76 one day and about 65 one day. The day we left it drizzled in the am. All the parks we great. We actually ended up spending lots of time at Animal Kingdom this time. We have a friend who was an entertainment manager for Disney (we actually met her a year ago when I sent a request letter down asking for something special for my little guy. He has had lots of major surgery on his head and we wanted to do something special. She was great and we had a super time in the Magic Kingdom that time. ) anyway...we have kept in touch the last year and a half and she asked us to call when we went down next. She is only working for disney part time now, but arranged for us to have VIP seats at the shows at Animal Kingdom. It was really great. On top of that, on Tuesday as we were waiting to go into the Lion King show a cast member asked us if we would like to be in the parade! The kids were really excited. we were on the Tiger float. Seemed like I had a smile plastered on my face for days! On another day our friend met us at Magic Kingdom and went on Buzz Lightyear (Patricks favorite ride) with him about four times. It was crowded, but they went in the rear entrance so didin't have to wait.

I have to say (hope I don't offend anyone) we did not like the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is too dark for my taste. We really didnt spend that much time looking at he animals. We did, though, love BOma. It was great food.
The night we went over to illuminations, we didn'[t get there until 8:30 There was still lots of room around the lagoon. Right up at the fence. It was beautiful, as usual.
The only bad part of the trip was today!!! We got a call from the kids principal! Talk about a sinking feeling...He is a really great guy, and said he wanted to talk to us rather than send us a letter. He said the boys have missed quite afew days now and they are concerned. Kind of makes me upset, as boht of our boys get great grades and are ahead in their classes. Anyway, we told him we won't be doing it again this year. They really don't like the idea of you takking them out to go to disney. I refuse to feel guilty though, it was a great time we spent with the boys and they didi all their make up work already.

Kathy, I have a torn rotator cuff also. have had it for a year and a half now. Have had about sixx cortisone shots, Aren't they a miracle drug?? My orthopedic guy doesn't want to give me any more though so I am thinking it may be surgery this summer. The shots last about three months for me. The surgery isn't always successful though and it can be painful. I will live with it as long as possible. Never seems to be a time to fit surgery in! Can;t interfere with the "disney schedule"!:D
Nancy, I have got to get rolling on the decluttering. I WIll start tomorrow. Have started weight watchers along with a friend. We go to curves for women three times a week. She called me this am with a great receipe she got on their web site. It is for a chocolate fudge bundt cake (Bundt..makes me think of Big Fat Greek Wedding:p ) anyway, I made it and it is out of this world. I told bill it was a weight watcher receipe and he said great but the only thing is he doesn't think it matters what receipe it is if you eat three slices at at ia time:bounce:
Anyway, my goal is to lose 50 lbs by July. We are really into salads here also! I keep thinking about you on the cruise, when you had to have your salad every night!;)

Cathy, we got some great pins while we were in disney. William will have to start on another vest soon, or retire some pins to a book.
Everyone else, it is now late and I must go to bed, where does the day go? It must be ten times worse for you that work. (not that I don't work, I just don't have to go anywhere else to do it!)
Another paper to write still.
Twinave and Rellingtwin have a great time in HH. I have always wanted to go there.

See you all later. Elaine

Elaine - Sorry you did not like Animal Kingdom Lodge. It being dark is part of their effort at authenticity. I have been on safari (and led several) in East Africa many times. All of the lodges are relatively dark due to design and the fact that their electricity is from generators which are operated a limited number of hours per day. So the atmosphere of AKL gives one a true feeling of what it would be like at a real African safari lodge.

Anyway, glad you otherwise had a great time at WDW!

CONGRATULATIONS TO JIM! By hook or by crook, he stopped smoking -- too bad he had to undergo surgery BUT he stopped and that's the important part. Again, congratulations to him!!!

Deck 2 may not be the "Party Deck" but at least we will have a deck to retreat to when the noise and rowdiness gets to be to a bit too much. Yeah, Tulirich says because we are old and need to get to bed early. ;) ;)

CATHY @ C - PLEASE FEEL BETTER SOON. PIXIE DUST AND LOVE COMING YOUR WAY!!!! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Nancy from PA--- How are people going to keep us straight? We will have to think of something cleaver. Since everyone seems to have such positive comments about the navigator, today I am leaning toward that. Then need to decide portside or starboard. There are 3 cabins available on your side of the ship and 4 on the other. We will be using our DVC points and it does save points going with the navigator. Norm doesn't seem to care and told me just to make the reservations and be done with it.

Wow Elaine, it sounds like you had a great time @ WDW and the weather was perfect for you. How special that you got to be in the parade. Nothing like getting a call from the principle to bring you back to reality. Good luck with weight watchers. I am working very hard to keep my 70 pounds off that I lost through them. I gain a few pounds and then decrease my points and increase my exercising. Norm loves the weight watcher receipes that I make. We won't know you when we see you in Oct.

Fiona and Colleen-- Good luck with your weight loss program. I did check that site and looks like a great place to get support. Losing and keeping weight off is a life time struggle. With my decluttering I am giving all my oversized clothes away, so that I am taking away the safety of having them to go back into.

Light dusting of snow here tonight and cold weather back. I do feel like we are stuck in that Groundhog Day movie, where you keep repeating the same weather day after day. Cruise take me away.

Had to go to a meeting tonight so I missed American Idol, but should be home tomorrow to see how moves on. Anyone see it and have a favorite to advance.

Well, off to bed for me.

Nancy

Deck 2 is going to be the happening place. Yes sir the cream of the crop is on deck 2.

Sorry that you didn't enjoy the animal kingdom lodge Elaine.

Rosemary download the ichat plugin again and then try it. Make sure that you use the windows xp one when you download it. Mike

heh heh heh
I am with Norm - book it and tell me where and when to show up - I am sure I will have fun!:jester:

Hi Everyone, Lots to catch up with...
Amy, Chris, Jenny, Michelle, and Debbie. We know what the real happenin deck is. They my have the Secret Aft Deck 7 but we have Secret Aft Deck 6. Which NOBODY knows about. No matter what the torture, I will not revele it location to anyone but deck 6 residents. Nancy & Norm, you Need to be with us! And we Need you too!
Can't comment on the TV stuff, don't watch it unless I have to. I did watch the M. Jackson thing the other night. The man is just too strange!:(
Cathy, Hope you're feeling better.
Tulirose, I would try the Tech thing, but I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to that. Always feel like the "helper" is wanting to pull his/her hair out. I just fumble along until I figure it out.
Sorry about Richie, hope he's doing better.
Eshannon, Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Love the Bundt Cake story. I know what you mean about the school system. DD is a straight A student in 6th grade, but I have to make up an excuse for her to go on our cruise. But that's OK, I can live with it. LOL;)
Out of room. Later, Ave':smooth:

Hi! We're a chatty bunch lately.

I have Josh home sick today. He came home from school with a cough yesterday, didn't eat much supper. I knew something was up when he requested his shower and pajamas about 7:00 last night. We were up till about 3 a.m. with him huggin' the pot. He's not eating, only drinking so far today and running a low fever, so we'll see. He's worried about missing the Valentine's party and school pictures tomorrow.

Rosemary-- Don't feel too guilty about the pneumonia. It seems to sneak up on you. When Josh was in first grade, he had sniffles at the beginning of the week, then they went away. He had a slight cough on Thursday. Came home from school on Friday complaining that his chest hurt and he was running a fever. Said he'd told his teacher his chest hurt and she told him it was probably 'growing pains'... give me a break! Anyway, called the Dr and took him to the ER..... a story in itself......and it was pneumonia.

Hope everyone's feeling better!

Colleen

Cathy with @C here is some pixie dust to heal you.~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~**

Have to go fix dinner(actually it is really called supper) Mike

Well dinner is done and I am just sitting in the computer room and cooling down after cooking.

Katie went home with her mom and dad and Kathy is getting ready to go to work at the hospital.

Colleen hope that Josh gets to feeling better. I know how it is to be under the weather.

Rosemary did you ever figure out on how to get Rich logged in to the chat room? Glad that he was able to get his palm pilot going with the program that he wanted.

Nancy I guess that we will have to try and keep you and windemere straight in our thick head. Too many Nancy's not enough active brain cells on this end to keep you two straight in our mind:)

Mike

Pixie Dust to everyone who is in need of it :)

I didn't have time to post the last two days (Just did a short one on another thread), but you really were busy :bounce: I had to go back three or four pages - Whoaa, you're great!!!

Well it looks as if I am getting the bug! I am starting to lose my voice and I have a terrible cough!

Waiting on AAA for a quote for our September cruise, they are supposed to have a 2 day sale starting today.

Dan

Get plenty of Rest, drink lots of fluids, take two aspirins and call me in the morning. Due to the high cost of malpractice insurance that will be $200 dollars for this diagnosis. Seriously take care and Cathy has the creeping crud also.

Eric you are posting so I take it that your dental procedure went well. A good serving of currywerst and pom frets note sure about the spelling on those two items will help you. Maybe even some apple strudel with vanilla sauce may ease your pain.

Mary and Ave hope that you and your families have a great time in Hilton Head this weekend. Mike

papa,

I can't do all that! First of all I do not take pills-I just hate them. My doctor thinks I'm strange because most people beg him for pills and I tell him NO! LOL

Also I have to be at work at 2pm.

Dan

hugs to all that need one....somehow we have escaped illness (so far)..think it is just to cold for germs...lol...

Mary & Ave,have a WONDERFUL time at HH...if you run into Dwayne Fisher, tell him we said "hey"...He is a HUGE Goofey nut....

Counting days 'till May..Disney time....

Bette ;)

Dan - I certainly understand you not taking pills. In most cases, I don't because I can't. I am allergic to most antibiotics (all the more effective ones anyway). Since I travel a lot, it becomes a major concern. I started staying healthier when I began politely refusing to shake hands. I always heard that so many illnesses are transmitted hand to hand. I know it makes me seem strange (okay - stranger!) and unfriendly, but that is not intended. So on Cruisetoberfest II, keep in mind that I will gladly substitute a hug for those who feel offended by refusal of a handshake! :p

Shari

Hugs are great!!!!! Will take them anytime over a hand shake one stipulation though. Just because we hug we don't put you on our income taxes:teeth:
