Papa raises his hand. Get a grip Rosemary :bounce: :bounce:
Whats up with that????? ;)

Looking forward to seeing you again and having a wonderful cruise. Mike

Eric!!! I KNEW there was something about you that I liked!!!
I forwarded the list to Ave. I'm sure she will send you her info soon.Looking forward to you 1000 post!

For George's 40th Birthday I got him a "Richard Petty Driving Experience" This is 10 laps in a real NASCAR race car! Since he is such a race fan, it was a dream come true for him!Of course now he wants to do it again (sigh)

Rosemary,
listening to you ranting about your age is so much fun ;-) Make sure that we get the same rotation, so that I can help you climbing the stairs and Anja will volunteer to feed you - Back to my mean old self, HarHarHar !!!

No Nancy,
they're still diggin' - You know how slow the Tommies are
:jester:

Mary,
bad luck for you - The Remorseless Ager will alter the list immediately :p I really envy George for that NASCAR-ride!!

That was post 1000 :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: NO, won't put 1000 bouncers in here, but I was really tempted ;)

I can't get the list to open! Can someone help, it gives me an error and then closes the program.

Dan

You need Microsoft Word or an application that can read that version of Word document. I had no trouble opening and viewing it, but for some reason I've been unable to get it to print properly in either landscape or letter mode. Not a problem though, as long as it's on my computer!

tawira,

I didn't hvae this problem last year, and I have the same programs and computer. I'm sure Eric is using the same program.

HELP

Dan

The list was created with MSWord 2002, German Edition. I also sent it to my office and could open and print it without any problems using Word 97, American Edition. So it should display and print properly on any of your PCs.
The header contains WordArt, this may be the problem. I'll send it again to Dan & Scott without the Wordart.

I also changed the filename to 8 digits, just in case you use an old -or better: ancient ;) - Windows, which can't handle long filenames.

What's up with that? We have to keep up with the banter.

Eric, congrats on you 1000th post. By the time 10/11 roll around you should have 2000.

By the way, don't tell anyone (especially Tuli) but DW and I will be 51 on the 10/11 cruise. When I entered our ages for the last cruise they were at the time entered not at the time of the 9/22 cruise. Opps.....

I am not the "over the hill" member of the family at 50 while DW is still a mere 49.

Dave

We just got back from the Hockenheim-Formula1-Racetrack (Where Michael Schuhmacher won the Grand Prix of Germany 10 days ago). Every tuesday evening -when there's no race- they open the track for us inlineskaters. It's so cool: Perfect asphalt, no traffic, no pedestrians, no dogs, etc. You just need about 10 to 15 minutes per lap, which is only slightly slower than the racecars (1min 13 secs). The track is situated about 70 miles south of Frankfurt, which was a 45-minute-ride on the Autobahn tonight :p , but sometimes it takes a bit longer due to traffic. Today we were lucky.

Viking - There is one little correction I would like to make with the list. My son is RICHIE, I'm Rich - in name only since Richie is going to college.

The second thing, I feel I have to defend my DW's age phobia. It started when she was very young -- about 40. She went on a field trip with fifth graders. A really good friend announced to the teachers and students that it is Rosemary's 40th birthday today. All day long, the sweet little kids were wishing her a happy 40th birthday. This was very traumatic for her. As for when I turned 40, so many years ago, I wasn't traumatized. I let my twin brother handle that.

I really hope that Mike and Kathy can make this trip. They were the best dinner partners we had.

One last thing, since you mentioned about Rose working out with you, she dusted off some of our old equipment and is starting to get ready. This is going to take a while. Be gentle with her old bones. I need her back.

Dan, Scott - Are you going to join us in the exercise class? I think I can keep up with you kids. ;) :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Nancy - Thanks again for the information on the autotrain. I think it is still a little early. We are going to look into it. Also, on the way back, after the cruise, we may stay in Florida a little longer (depending on how teenson is doing at home) and can we book at that time, just before we take the autotrain? Have you had experience with last minute booking?

Tulirose and Tulirich - We all have our good days and bad days regarding our age. At the memorial service for my dad just two months ago, after I was introduced to the pastor, he then turned to the not-quite-30-year-old male friend of the family standing beside me and said, "<I>And this must be your husband</I>." Gee, I must have looked particularly good that day. Two days later I was shopping with a 30-year old female friend, and the store clerk referred to her as my <I>daughter</I>. BAD day! You win some, you lose some!

Fortunately my husband is <I>older</I> than I am, so I usually feel (relatively) young around him. But his level of fitness is probably like Viking's (though not the body-builder physique). So when ski racing, kayaking, etc., with him I feel like an "old lady" sometimes. My sister is 6 years older than I and was always the beautiful one. Lately she points out every new line around my eyes and suggests a remedy (whatever is the latest). But if I talk HER into joining me for our Cruisetoberfest, you guys may understand why I think she's still seeing herself as she <I>was</I> and not as she <I>is</I>. Hey - I live to be happy, and happiness (smiling) causes wrinkles (smile lines)!

Your husband/daughter stories gave me such a good laugh!
...Hey - I live to be happy....
DH says that that is a good thought and you should be happy! Me, I think I would bop your sister on the head!:jester:

Well, I was just about to send in our deposit for 10/25/03 in order to do the Halloween cruise, but may have to jump ship to get in with your gang. We last cruised 9/01 and I was so jealous of all you cruising together, and the many posts you had going. I travel alone with the kids, 10 &12 and it would be so great to be part of a group. Got room for three more???

Always room for one (hundred) more! Join US! Cruisetoberfest promises to be a FANTASTIC cruise where we can all watch each other's LAUGH LINES grow!!!

YES jmalk!!! We can squeeze you and yours in somewhere on the ship! :D Leave that Halloween cruise flat and join us. Since you obviously lurked a bit on our old thread, you are already considered part of the gang!! One more, three more, ten more! The more the merrier! Our only requirement... posting on this thread to keep it on page #1. But you must remember, content of post is everything!!! (Right Dan? ;) ) We don't post no wimpy one word posts or such things. All our postings are meaningful, thoughtful, funny, informative or some such other adjective but never dumb. We post no dumb posts! So, you're in!
