This thread is getting off to a great start! Great people from all over! Very emotional tonight. Listening to Springsteen's new CD. Grew up in NY, grew up with Bruce, grew up with the Twin Towers. Come on up for the rising!

Twinave - I grew up in California, not NY, but confess that I am a LONG-TIME FAN of Springsteen (Yes - THE Boss)! I don't have the new CD yet, though. How is it?

Hello To Everyone!!! This thread is really taking off now!!! :D

(Second time I'm doing this, lost it the first time around due to my "OLD" computer and its problems!!)

Hmm - So many people posting, so much to respond to, so little time... Where to begin???....

DAVE! Your daughter is gorgeous and Ellen looks great and so very happy! I guess you are getting her (Lindsey) ready to pack off to college. I can see the tears flowing then.... yours and Ellen's!!! LOL!

Taswira - I checked out your website and enjoyed your journal and photos regarding your four-day Wonder cruise. Will have to explore your site more.

Which reminds me: For all newbies (and oldies who wish to reminice) check out www.picturetrail.com and type in "tulirose" in the Visit Album spot and see some of our Cruisetoberfest pictures!

Mary - Happy your computer is working again!

Dave-- your DD is taller then your DW. My son is catching up to me and will most likey pass his Father some time soon. They seem to grow them taller now-a-days. As you may know already (DW fast little fingers) Richie is not going with us this time. He'll be too busy with college ( at least I hope so) that time of year. I told him the other day his uncle Tom will stop in once in a while, I thought to resure him -- he ask "why?". I think I miss something there.

Mary-- I heard you had a problem with your computer. Glad it's fixed. We have a picture of your son in our pool we must send to you. He looks very wet, and happy.

Nancy-- The overnight sleeper sounds interesting. Some private space with no snorers or people walking past all night ( I'm a lite sleeper) is a good thing.

DW is having some problems with her computer so I'll do the right thing and transfer command to her.;)

Tulirose - , THANK YOU so much for reminding me about my Wonder journal. I just read through it again and noticed that at the end I still had 9/13/03 listed as one of my upcoming cruises, which in June I changed to 10/11/03 (the IMPORTANT cruise!). It has now been corrected!

Dan - Rest assured, we will welcome Jean readily when she posts. Give our best to your mom and Scott. And take my hint - Visit the tech board here on the DIS. Lots of neat things to learn! Oh, and thanks for the autotrain links. See, you are very tech-savy already!

Alikat99 - With the situation you described with your daughter - naps during the day - you would probably appreciate the veranda, especially if your daughter is a light sleeper. (I was never quiet when my son slept as a baby. I used to vacuum his room right under the crib when he slept and it never bothered him a bit! He still sleeps VERY soundly, as does his dad - don't know why Tulirich said he was a light sleeper! )

Eric - I would enjoy going to the gym again with you and Anja - Yeah RIGHT! Trying to get into some sort of shape right now because in three weeks I will attend my H.S. 30th reunion! :earseek: THAT is going to be an interesting evening, for SURE!

Yes taswira - I had noticed the *wrong* date in the journal but I figured out that you must have originally wanted to go in June but had since decided to switch. LOL Did you get a chance yet to check out my Cruisetober pixs at www.picturetrail.com ?

Yes, I did look at your pics. Nice! I'm going through them again now. I'm on a real SLOW dial-up connection here in ID (can't wait to get back to FL where I have high-speed!), so they take awhile to load. I think I went through all of them some time ago. Wasn't there a link from another thread on the DIS? RE: My cruise dates - I booked Oct. 31 Wonder for this year and originally booked Sept. 13 Magic for next year, but in June I switched the 9/13 ressie to Oct. 11 to try the "fresh out of dry dock" experience. I'm glad I did, as this seems to be a GREAT group of DISers!

Hi Folks,

I just discovered that we are already in the three-digit-range (09/28/01ers, We're coming closer ;))
Ellen,
you're daughter looks great, bad-hair-day or not!!

Mike,
how much does a kid bring in the States? Would selling two kids pay for a suite? :jester:

Taswira,
Cruisetoberfest took place on the Magic when she was freshly out of the dry-dock, so it's becoming kind of a tradition.

Rosemary,
we're looking forward to working out with you, and perhaps some of the others will join us in the gym.

Mary,
good to have you back online.

3MinnieMom with her DH and 3 "little Minnies" (10, 9 and 5) have joined our cruise! I PM'd her about this thread. Let's keep GROWING!!

Rosemary,

thanks for posting the link again. I somehow lost it. These pics are so great!!

3MinnieMom's BIRTHDAY is Oct. 6 (You can celebrate onboard any time in the month, right?) Plus, this is their FIRST Disney cruise!

Eric,
The Wonder was fresh out of dry dock - not to be technical or anything.

Rich,
The sleeper was nice. They have one with a private 'bath' and one that just has a sleeper. The 'bath' has a sink that is about 4"x8" and probably about 3" deep. Then there is a toilet in what is about the size of a phone booth. This also doubles as your shower. It's a real trip trying to get through the shower but at least when you get off in the morning you at least feel human.
One note, the beds are probale about as long as a twin bed so you 2 may have to sleep curled up a little.

Nancy

For being over a year away, this thread is sure active.

IT GREAT !!!

Taswira, DD will not be on the Oct 2003 cruise. Like Tuilrose & Tulirich's DS, hopefully she will be very busy in college at that time. Actually that will be our 4th annual fall cruise without kids. Although we love the kids and do cruise with them at times too, cruising without kids is also something special. Tulirose & Tulirich, I am sure you will enjoy it too. ;) ;)

Yes, DD is much taller that DW. 16 year old DS is also just about as tall as me.

Keep this thread hopping,

Dave

Windermere,

you're right: The Wonder was docked, and the Magic took over the short cruises before Cruisetoberfest.

Good Day All - Another day closer to our cruise!!!

Good Lordy! The German thought I was SERIOUS when I said I would work out with him and his lovely wife!!!! YIKES. I'm in trouble now. LOL

Taswira - Thanks for signing my picturetrail guest book. I did post a link on the Cruise Trip Reports board when I finally finished the website. I imagine it is very different viewing the photos and entries now as compared to when you first saw them. Oh, - and in regards to your comment about Viking - he is very buff and he tells us he is even MORE buff now since he has Cruisetoberfest due to new diet and exercise regimen.

Welcome 3MinnieMom, even though you have not posted yet. Yes, you can celebrate your B-day on the cruise even though it does not fall within the days of sailing.

Hi Dave and Ellen - Yes! Let's keep this thread hopping!!!

Hello to all lurkers out there in cyberspace land!

Tulirose- you didn't even say hello to me in your post,
What's up with that??????????????????????????????????

Also wanted to brag that we got our airfare for our cruise in October for just $59 R/T. Gosh I love living in cheap Ohio!

Taswira- Scott, mom and I are cruising on the Halloween cruise, however on the Magic. I thought that it seemed neat that we are both cruising over the holiday!

Viking-sorry but I can't join you working out! I am feeling tired right now and would hate to show off my body! :)

Papa-Hope you are doing better! Also tell Kathy we said hello and miss you both! Can't wait to see you each morning at Topsiders. Actually we saw everyone there, are we not supposed to eat breakfast from 7am-10am? Oh maybe it is open for everyones convienece, darn I thought we had to eat that whole time!

Until next time!

Dan:jester: :jester: :jester: :jester:

P.S. Has anyone heard from DCLFan? Kevin and Sue-report in ASAP!!

Dearest Tulirose,

Please do not try to be humorous about the fact that YOU forgot to say hello!

And then you use the fancy moving message too.

I miss our bantering!

Love ya
Dan
