Bought our white T-shirts today along with the transfer paper. Now, tell me.........where am I putting the logo, front or back???

Hope

Had to babysit today and was unable to make the chat, sorry about that.

Seven weeks until we cruise is that the best news or what.

Hope that Jim is feeling better Fiona. I had a similar problem, and if it is not cardiac related tell Jim to go to gastroenterologist doctor and have his esophagus checked out. I had my throat looked at and they found out I had Barrett's esophagus. Thought that I was having a heart attack and was without energy. That turned out to be my problem.

Have to make a dental appointment to get a wisdom tooth pulled and a cavity filled.

Mike

really missed you this AM papa!! Tulirose was saying really bad things about you! (wink, wink)

you know I am kidding, right! :)

I cannot believe we are so close to setting sail!!! I have so much to do and so little time!

Are you all as excited as I am? I can't belive how quickly time has gone by.

7 weeks from today and we will be at sea!!!

Sue Ellen

I am so excited I just can't wait!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc
I'm even starting to slowly pack and trying to figure out what all I'm going to bring!!!

Hi gang! I did some major shopping today. Belks was having their "end of Summer Sale" and had some really great prices!I got the kids each about 5 shorts/shirt outfits plus a dress and a bathing suite for DD and 4 dresses for me for under $200!!!!Most of the items were 50% off then an additional 30%. I LOVE sales like this! DH "cruise ware" from last year is still in great shape, so I think I'm pretty much done except for shoes for DD and me.

I was just watching the NASCAR race and am so dissapointed...Mark Martin was doing SO well, and was hit, car was wrecked and he is out of the race:(

Amy..how did the wedding go?

Way to go Mary!!

I am going to have to start looking and see if Walmart is going to put their bathing suits on sale anytime soon.

Hope that Dan and Scott along with Shari enjoy their pre Cruisertoberfest cruises.

Mike

PS Had to change clipart as Kathy didn't care for cartman.

Hi Guys,

This is Kim, not Bettemom...

If you have Target stores near you they are also having fantastic clearance sales. Last Thursday I purchased 4 polo shirts, 2 t-shirts, 2 blouses, one dress and 2 gallons of bleach for $ 47.00.
Pretty good sale. They had tons of stuff still at our local stores.

Bye, Kim

Good morning everyone. I have a question about the brunch at Palo. What type of clothes do you wear? It isn't as "formal" as dinner at Palo is it? I was just trying to get an idea if I need to do more shopping.

Macy's is having a huge sale and I got some great formal things for me. I wound up getting 1 gown (I couldn't pass it up since it was marked down from $199 to $54) and a long gown type satin skirt with a gold/black tank top and matching jacket. The whole thing cost me less than $200. Now I just have to worry about shoes....... Is this too formal for formal night and Palo? Our 4 night that we went on wasn't as dressy so I thought I should get these. I don't want to look out of place. BTW, hubby is wearing a tux.

Thanks for all replies. We're almost there! Boy, I can't wait.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Yesterday must have been shopping day...
I got my formal dress from Ross for $15. The mexican night dress for $10. Two night out shirts for $12 a peice. Shoes to match for $10 a peice.

Ross and TJ Maxx didn't have shorts still, but the PJC Penny outlet did. They also had great deals on swimsuits...

Okay, my question has gotten lost in all this sale talk :)

We have our T-shirts..........logo on the front or back???

Hope

Hope,

Front or back, it doesn't matter. It's up to you. I putting ours on the front, but Viking is putting theirs on the backs of their shirts. The choice is yours.

Tina :)

Okay, that will be a tough one......let's see, do I want people to know who I am while they are walking towards me or when they are behind me???? I think the front.......don't want to draw to much attention to the back of me :)

Thanks Tina!!

I bought a small fan at Target to take with us. My DH says that he thinks it is silly to take a fan with us. We are in an inside stateroom. Should I just pack it and not tell him. Then when he complains, pull it out?? Or do I really NOT need to take it? Are there individual controls in every room for the air?

Hope

Palo is much more casual for brunch than dinner. I did a casual dress and hubby did a polo style shirt with khakis. It's resort casual for brunch.

For formal night that will definitely be okay. It can be VERY formal. I have seen everything from just a regular dress, to coctail dresses to formal. Our family dresses up for formal night in very formal wear--including tuxedos also.

Palo for dinner is jacket recommended, but you won't be out of place a bit casual or dressy there--I have seen it all at Palo.

I'm really looking forward to this.

Hi everyone. I am exhausted today, didn't get home until 3am from taking DS#2 things up to his college. Since we couldn't move in until 7pm it made for a very long night. Till you get things arranged, reclaimed one of my large suitcase and the carry on bag, go to WalMart for things we forgot and snacks, take him out to eat dinner. Go back to school and drop him off it was 11pm till we left to come home.

Friday night we moved DS#1 things up to him and didn't get home until midnight. I'm getting to old to move all that stuff and stay up that late. It is to be another beautiful day in Central Pa so hope I can just sit on the patio and read.

No shopping for me, I don't even have the energy to do grocery shopping today. Hopefully, I can find enough in the refrig to make lunch and dinner today and do shopping tomorrow.

Only 7 weeks till we are in Key West and the hunt for Pinky begins.

Nancy

Hope logo goes in the front. We are bringing some small fans with us as we use one here at home. I think that it is more for the white noise and the air moving is not bad also. Just pack it and then tell DH "Well how did this get here?"

Nancy get some rest and I will also have to go to the store to get some food here.

Piglet the brunch is resort casual polo's and shorts would be fine. You will love the brunch!!!

Mike

Folks,
I just finished the latest edition of the List and it should be in your mailboxes now.
When I wanted to start working on the homepage I encountered two problems:
First Problem: Everybody on AOL.DE seems to be working on his/her homepage tonight and so the Editing tool is awfully slow.
Second Problem: The mails with legends for the Minnesota-Pic and the Baltimore-pic have somehow vanished in the depths of the Internet:( Please send it again and I'll do an update on Wednesday. Thanks!!!

After some "digging" I found the mail containing the legend for the Minnesota-pic. Now I only need one for the Baltimore-pic.

I'm putting the Logos on the front of the shirts.

I can't belive the weekend is over already!DH and DFIL spent the whole day trying to fix the A/C in my car. It still is not working:( so DH will have to drive me to work tomorrow and start again. If it is still not working by tomorrow evening we will take it to the shop.

Nancy...glad you got DS's moved it ok. I hope the rest of your weekend was restful:D

JenKatt, Piglett and Kim......good shopping ladies! One of the nice things about sailing in the fall is the great bargins you can get on "cruiseware".

Eric, got the list. Thanks!!! I hope the most resent additions will fill in some of the blanks in time for you to do a last update. Of course, I'd be happy to attempt to do an update after you leave Germany if you think we need it.

Lisa, while I have not begun to pack yet, my "cruise pile" is really starting to grow! Last year I packed things as I bought them but with my swiss cheese brain I had to unpack everything because I couldn't remember what I had and hadn't packed:eek:

Hope...there are individual controls for temp control in the cabins. But I would recommend the fan. I bring several things "just in case"(extra meds, extra contact lenses, ect) and when I unpack I leave them in the suitcases. If I need it, I got it.If not I never take it out of the bag. A Fan is GREAT if you plan on a nap during the day. It really drowns out any hallway noise.
