this chat tomorrow is it a 4pm Local time Germany... ?????
Yup, 4pm CET(MEST)/10am EST

I will be at the office tomorrow, helping out in my old department and in the evening we will have dinner with my ex-wife and her hubby. So the update has to wait til sunday, perhaps I'm able to do it in the morning, if not I will do it in the evening.
I MUST do it this weekend, as we will be in Wuppertal next weekend for a wedding. This is a 160-mile-drive to the northwest and so we will leave on Friday around noon to be able to do some sightseeing in Wuppertal. In the evening we celebrate a bachelor's party with the groom and Saturday at 11am we will go to the City Hall for the wedding - and then the party starts:eek: :jester: :bounce: :Pinkbounc I expect it to last at least til the early morning.

Jeff,
make sure to install IChat before the chat. You'll find it on the Main Chat Page.

Eric, Thats great to hear.. Guess that holiday will be just what the doctor ordered. Just always keep in the back of your mind how short half a year is in the business world. (Also who will watch your partner who will be just sitting in the room letting stuff just pile up for you to do when you return.. ;) ;) )

The weekend is here..

What's worse, Jeff: My colleague also has four weeks vacation left and in our company it's mandatory to take them during the year - No transfer to next year. So shortly after our vacation I will have to work alone for four weeks, too :(

Unfortunately, Chris and I won't be able to chat with you guys tomorrow. We'll be in the Orlando area at a wedding. I can't believe we're going to be in Orlando and not going to WDW. It's just shocking.

Well, tonight I'm off to my sorority's alumni meeting. A local university is going to get a new chapter of our sorority, so I'm helping out with all the stuff needed. Plus, our philanthropy is the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, so we're helping out with the Race for the Cure in a few weeks too. It'll be fun to see people again after the long summer, but we have lots to do this fall.

Boy am I glad this work week is finally over! Next week will probably be just as bad although my secretary will be back so that will help. Already know that there's a problem waiting for me first thing Monday morning because we couldn't get it solved this afternoon.

Also a stressful week for Jim. He went back to the doctor and he doesn't know what's wrong as all the blood tests came back ok. He had the heart moniter on for 24 hours from Wednesday to Thursday (and now has shaved circles on his chest to prove it!). He's booked for a stress test on Sept 9th and to see the cardiologist on the 16th. Hopefully it's nothing serious and we will still be able to cruise. He has no energy at the moment though so we haven't even gone to the baseball games.

But it's the weekend so at least that's positive.

Must go home now and eat. Take care everyone.

Go to Orlando and not WDW -- I don't know about that. :D

Hi everyone..we are back from Vermont and had a great time and great weather..we checked out the whole state and spent one day in New Hampshire and another day drove to New Hampshire to see bettemom and Kim..we drove to Boston and all of its craziness! Had lunch in Little Italy and our waitress used to work at the Radisson hotel in the city I work in..she lived two blocks from the hospital I work at!! Its a small world. Papa and GoofyNut..cook up the pancakes..real maple syrup is coming your way!!

I would love to live at bettemom's house..being a dog lover, they have 4 dogs residing there!! I was in my glory especially with Gulliver...my Precious was sooo glad to see us tonight!! Bernie is really cute and should be a good companion to Pinky!! Only problem, Eric...Windermere is moving from Pennsylvania so I guess my only chance to visit with Pinky is when Art and Cathy bring him home to PA and he can spend half his time in Nashville and half in PA!!!

Fiona..pixie dust to Jim..sure hope that he is feeling better and only gets good news about his health. Would love to chat tomorrow (if I'm up..still in vacation mode!!) but have no idea how to do it. I think Colleen (scootersmom) once told me how to do it but being computer challenged, I don't remember!!

Fiona..I'm sure my boss could appreciate your lack of a secretary this week..mine doesn't have a clue when I'm not there and tells everyone that I am on vacation and to call back on Monday when I return...between the phones calls that I have to return and not being able to find my desk and Monday is payroll day..oh well, the joys of being on vacation!! Have a great weekend! Mary Jo

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Later, Ave'

I feel so far behind here. Welcome home MaryJo and happy happy birthdays to both Kathy and Mike. Enjoyed chatting tonight in Cruise Chat with papa and Hope and Windermere and all the others in cruise chat, even though they were not 10/11 cruisers. LOL!

Looking forward to tomorrows International Cruise Chat.

No upgrade here. Not sure if we really want one. We like our room - It will be our third time in the same room. And now we will have Mike/Kathy and Cathy/Art as neighbors.

Congrats on your upgrade Arlene and Andy!!

Eric - What the heck is a Leatherman anywho??

Alikat - Emily is going to be a flower girl next month and she is not even two yet?? Are you a bit concerned?? My niece who is just shy of 3 1/2 was the flower girl at my other niece (her godmother's) wedding the other week. I must say she did very well walking down the aisle but she did get restless up at the altar, walking around a bit and even went back and forth to see her mom in the pew a few times (personally, I would have kept her in the pew the first time she came back but that is me). It was a little distracting. But she finally settled in and made herself comfortable lying on her belly on the altar, hands holding her head up, watching the ceremony. It made for some cute photos.

Have fun at the wedding in Orlando tomorrow. We will miss you in chat.

Worked a full week this week and find myself very tired.

Will chat with some of you tomorrow! What's that old saying???: Be There, or Be Square!!! LOL!!!

MORE PIXIE DUST TO JIM

Welcome back Mary Jo. What other trips to you have planned before we cruise?

Congratulations Arlene on the upgrade.

We have cat 6 and I'm happy there, so not looking for any upgrade. However, if offered Walt's suite, we wouldn't turn it down.

alikat99--- I guess you will just have to wave  at the mouse from a distance while in Orlando.

We spent tonight driving up to DS#1 college to take all his things to him. Actually, his apartment looks better to me then when he showed it to me in the spring. It must have been cleaned up over the summer, and ready for another year of students. I'm sure that next May it will look just as bad, but for now it looks clean. He said they even have a vacuum. Now if they use it will be another story. Tomorrow, we're off to Pittsburgh to take DS#2 things out to him. So no chat for us.

Sunday will be a day of rest.

Have a great weekend.

Nancy

I know, I already brought that up to my brother and his fiancee'. The biggest problem is that both Chris and I are in the wedding, me as a bridesmaid and Chris as the best man for my brother. So, we won't even be able to really keep an eye on her. But, my future SIL understands that she will be a week shy of 2 and she may not want to be very cooperative. My future SIL even thinks that she may have Emily walk down the aisle with me, if she doesn't want to walk with the ring bearer (who will be 8). Then, if Emily gets restless, we will have a family member take her out of the church until the ceremony is over. I just kept trying to get my brother and future SIL to understand that Emily has her own opinion about things that she does or doesn't want to do. But, they understand and wanted her to be in it anyway. So, it will definitely be an experience and a great photo op for our little family.

I will definitely miss you guys tomorrow. Think about us, while you're chattin' away.

Rosemary,

I am shocked ;) !! The Leatherman is the evolution of the Swiss Army Knife, see here: LEATHERMAN
As they are only half the price in the US, I brought four of them back from Denver for friends and family and intend to buy another one for me in Florida.
Similar tools are available from Gerber and Victorinox, but I'm a Leatherman-fan.
It is multi-tool, holding some screwdrivers, knife-blades, etc. The blades are up to about 4 inches long, so I assume that this may lead to trouble upon boarding the ship. In airtravel, there is no problem as I just put it into my checked luggage, but as I will have access to my luggage on the ship I would like to know about DCL's policy.

Arlene, did that Florida discount have any thing to do with Christmas balls?;) Each time I think of the Baltimore trip I think most of you and Andy and the resturant. I believe we have laughed more over that than most anything else since we got home.We also did real good at the mall resturant with all the chairs.

The rest of the Baltimore contingent will just have to wait until the cruise if you don't remember.

Cathy, I love "Loose Lips", how am I to get any information if he doesn't speak up? I will admit I did learn a lot in Baltimore.:teeth: At least more than Mike wanted me to know. :D He has made a nice recovery. I am now looking at another sewing machine. Oh yeah... life is good.

Yes Eric, it was 4a.m. when I was on the computer. So far tonight I have had only one C/section to go back on. Hopefully, it will stay slow. :p

Fiona, here's pixie dust to Jim. ***********************I sure hope he is better soon. How is his poor ole toe bone? Could this be something to do with that?

Everyone take care, I gotta go feed my babies. Kathy

Eric........I would also like to know if leatherman's can be taken on the ship. My DH carries one on his belt everyday when he is working. He usually tries to take it on vacation too. They are so handy.

Hope

Sorry about chat this morning! I rushed home to get on line (late) and was only on a few moments when my Mother-in-law called. She had some important stuff to tell me re: a house down the street from us that they own and are getting ready to rent out. She needed to have me "show" the house this afternoon. By the time we were done talking everyone was gone.

Eric, I packed a folding wine opener in my suitcase last year without a problem. And DH packed his pocket knife, so I think your leatherman will be fine.

Pixie dust to Jim

Happy Birthday to Mike!
