Hopkins...is there parking right there where you get on the ship and is it paid or free...if it is paid parking, can we leave our car there for the day or is this not located anywhere near the actual Inner Harbor...it's been so long since we've been there that I can't even remember. Just curious. I don't have the number here at work or I would have called them myself. Just curious as to whether we will have to move our car or not??? Mary Jo

I just realize that this is our last full week of summer vacation!
Where did it go?? The dd's go back to school NEXT WEEK!!

Sarah still has a full month off until school starts..we are actually one of the last schools to start in our area (September 2nd!!) but the down side is that we are one of the last ones to get out and count in snow days and it is usually the middle of June before we get out. Sure wish they would go to year round school here with several breaks throughout the year!! Sarah is on the night shift schedule...she stays up late watching movies and reading her books and then gets up around 1:30 p.m.!! The other day Sam worked a double (16 hours) from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. and he came home and went to bed and got up at 1:30 p.m. so he could go in for his next shift and both he and Sarah got up at the same time!!

Is anyone's kids into American girl dolls?

Hopkins...save yourself a phone call, I just found the website and read about parking...as Sarah would say...da!!

papa...I brought the camcorder into work and one of the guys here was able to fix it. Hopefully, it will work now!!

My dd's love American girl dolls. 9 yr old dd only has one, Kristen, I think. She has all the Kaya books.

Those dolls are so expensive. I can only get them for "special" holidays!

Hope...the only reason that I asked is that Hallmark has a promotion going on called "Circle of Smiles" where you complete certain things and get really nice pins of each of the American Girl Dolls and then on August 16th, if all items are completed, you get a nice necklace. Sarah is just about done and my girlfriend works at a Hallmark store so I may be able to get a set of pins and necklace for your Sara (my Sarah is with an H!!)---not promising anything, but I will try!! P.S. I will also bring the Rainforest Cafe and Disney Magic sweat shirts for your kids!!

P.S. If you should see any Disney ties at the outlet, would you pick one up for my husband and I will send you a check....he is wearing a blue sportcoat with khaki pants for the cruise. Don't want to pay a fortune for one but if you see something reasonable!!

Sure we will look for a tie. We are going to the Disney Outlet store probably Thursday. I am thinking we will stop on the way to the beach. We will be driving right by it and I don't think I can drive by and NOT stop! I have discount card that also gets me an extra 10% off. Tell me how much it too much. My mom and I are bargin shoppers!!

Thank you for your e-mail. No unforntually we can not accomodate bikes on the ship. We offer Bike rental at Castaway Cay and there is a Mountain Bike tour on the Eastern Carribean.

I don't want to wish away the rest of the summer but I wanna CRUISE NOW! ( OK, I feel better now! )

This weekend I watched the Nascar race and worked on some of the Name Tags for the active posters and picture gang. They are cut out and now need corner rounding and laminating then hole punching so they will work on the laynards. I know I'm a little crazy BUT then again I suffer from a lot of senior moments when it comes to names. I do find that the name tags help the cast address you by name and they seem to like that (and so do I).

Has anyone seen the fall rates come out yet for staying on-site after our cruise? We'd like to do the Not-so-scary parade and a little of the Food and Wine Festival (Art samples his way around Epcot and collect the recipes)

I'm bummed out ... Bob Hope died He was such a good example of the good in America.

Let me just reply to that Cathy before my mom does!! No, I am not a tiiger!! I was helping her get registered, which she was finding difficult! (sorry MOM!). That was the only thing that just kept popping in my head!

The name tags sound great. One questions....where do we get the laynards?

Cathy--- I just made my reservations yesterday for my 2 day post cruise @ WDW. The only rates I could get were AAA which aren't great but at least it was a little help. No AP rates yet or nurse rates available for Swan/Dolphin. Made room only reservations for CSR. I know you like PORiverside and they did have rooms for AAA rate there. I hope by the time we are ready to leave there will be some fall rates out.

Sine I only had boys no American Girl dolls for me. I'll save that for granddaughters down the road (hopefully way down).


Eric--- Glad the pictures made it. Please feel free to make me look thinner when you post it.

bettemom....yes, I did get the brochure on Portsmouth...got it Saturday and just leafed through it and hope to check it out more this week...looks really great. I will call you sometime on Tuesday and make arrangements to meet you guys somewhere...looks like a straight shot on I-89 so shouldn't be a problem. Glad we're also going to meet hygiene99--I feel like I am the roving dis ambassador!!! We will have met alot of the people prior to cruising...sorry Silentshot...but if I could just talk my husband into going to Germany for the weekend!!! Actually, one weekend, I wanted to go to the Mall of America but figured it was just a little too far for a weekend!! Considering when we rented the car in Missouri, the agent couldn't believe that we put close to 2500 miles on the car...we probably saw more of Missouri than the people who live there!!

Our weatherman is calling for rain here this upcoming weekend...lets send pixie dust that the rain stays in PA and doesn't travel with us to MD!!!! Mary Jo

Andy and I think we may drive down on Friday night before the Baltimore meet and stay over. We may or may not see the relatives down there. Is anybody else staying over and if so where and what rate? Let me know....

I truly cant believe everything is here or coming up around the corner. Before we know it we'll be packing and flying down to florida. We think that after the disney cruise we may be heading down to West Palm Beach to see my in laws. not the best way to end a great trip but it will be a good thing to see them again this year.

I haven't heard anything from TNRobin for a long time, but she's still active on the boards. I read about her dislike of thongs on CC but as she didn't post on our thread nor sent a pic IMHO she's in "inactive-mode" for the cruise One small post, a picter sent to us or a mail - and she's active again.
I only registered one cancellation so far: eshannon informed me that she won't be cruising with us

Hi Everyone,

Looking forward to Baltimore. Can anyone give me directions to the cruise pick up point? I don't know where we are staying at this point because that depends on what time we leave here on Friday. I was hoping to take the entire day off and stay in Baltimore Friday night but it's looking like I'll have to work at least a half day. If that's the case we probably won't get all the way to Baltimore on Friday but will stay somewhere between here and there and then drive the rest of the way Saturday morning.

Have to go to CAA tomorrow at lunch to pick up maps so that we will know how to get to Baltimore!! We have an older map and I just want to pick up a newer version.

Sarah's Mom -- Had to laugh -- my DS is exactly the same way. He stays up and then sleeps til the afternoon. He seems to be coping with getting up at 5am though but we'll see if that continues when school starts. He was home for the weekend and immediately went back to staying up late and sleeping til the afternoon although he was up early for him on Saturday (just before noon) and had to wait to do anything because all his friends were still sleeping!! Asked him again about cruising but Disney is still "too boring for words" so he'll stay at home with his Grandma.

Hope ... Sorry but the devil made me do it about the "TiiigerMom" comment.

Arlo01 (& Eric) I checked the last list and say your hubby was AND and thought to myself that it should be ANDY! Caught it just before I did the tags.

RE THE LAYNARDS ... I thought way back when that someone said they had gotten some to pass out at the sail-away. The way this bunch is I'm sure that person will pop up and reply.

The name tags have first name (large letters ) then the German Mickey then (medium letters) Cruisetoberfest II and last line is your DIS handle or the DIS handle of the group. For example, Art, my hubby is listed under "@GoofyNut" ... that way I figure we would be better able to relate to how we post. I know I have too many senior moments and can never keep all that straight. They are two sides and the size of our KTW and can easily be kept on the laynards.

After the Baltimore Meet and a little more tweeking to the LOGO design, I'll e-mail it out to everyone.
