.......BTW thanks, Mary, Ave & Nancy ... I did get 2 boxes of the 2 gallon Zip Bags at Target to try and help with the packing this year. Sure are a lot cheaper than the commercial ones on TV.......
Hi guys! Can one of you refresh my old memory on the reasoning for the zipbags. And how much would a two gallon bag hold anyways? Umm... let me rephrase that before someone answers "2 gallons"...... other than swimsuits, what would possibly fit in a two gallon bag???

I've been lurking for the past couple of days. Not that DS#2 is home, it is hard to get on the computer in the evenings. Can only get on after 10pm which is when he leaves to go out with his friends. It will get even worse when DS#1 gets back on Thursday.

Rosemary--- Norm and I were not childhood sweethearts, we meet right after I got out of nursing school and he was just out of the Army. Thanks for asking that question about those 2 gallon bags, I was wondering also. I need to start to pack for my vacation and was considering getting them, but now that I think about it a 2 gallon bag doesn't seem to hold much.

Mike--- Take care of yourself. Good luck with your test. Norm has had them all over the years.

Ok, I did watch the last two survivor shows. I guess I just couldn't get to upset that Jenna won. I just could never live in those conditions and would have trouble remembering who I told what to and what my current alliance was. No give me a nice cruise, and being waited on.

Now as we get down to the final two on American Idol, I may find my self throwing something at the TV if my favorite doesn't win.

What is with our weather. Sunday, I am in shorts and today had to wear a turtleneck again.

Fionna-- I hate yard work, so good luck with yours. We need to do all the mulching, but guess it will have to wait until June when we get back from vacation. It keeps raining that we can't even get the grass mowed. You are turning into quite the baseball fans. We have tickets to see the Orioles on Sat, but I think it is suppose to rain. No roof over Camden Yard.

That's all folks.

Nancy

We had a slight emergency last night. I had kept the car when Kathy called from work sick. She was running a fever, aches, pains, chest pains. Picked her up and we went to the ER. Turns out she has cellulitis in her left leg. No work for the next 3 days and she is supposed to keep her leg elevated. When it rains it pours.

It is almost 3 am and I am going to bed. Mike

:( Say it isn't so, Mike & Kathy both sick! PLEASE TAKE CARE. Guess you need to stop burning the candle at both ends. If you hear a noise in your driveway ... it's just the truck load of Pixie Dust I'm sending your way.

Rosemary and Nancy ... Have you seen the infomercial on the space saving vacumn bags for packing? Well you can use the 2 gallon zip bags the same way ... put your shirts, blouses, etc in and then roll the bag till all the air is out, then zip shut and VOILA.
On the Zip-Lock box there is a picture with shirts. Anything to save some space in the luggage is worth a try.

Well gotta run ......................

Pixie dust to both Kathy and Mike. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Nancy -- I absolutely hate yard work of any kind. I loved the year that Chris (my DS) became old enough to mow. Now I just have to nag him to do it. We have debated the last couple of years what to do with all the trees and this year decided we just had to get rid of some of them and lots of bushes. They have just grown too big. Should probably get rid of the cherry tree but can't bear that thought so that and the maple tree will stay -- everything else is going although it's slow and tiring work. Luckily this weekend for us is a 3 day weekend. It's Victoria Day on Monday (otherwise known as the May 2-4 weekend for the 20 somethings). We have traditionally opened our pool this weekend but because of the weather that has been pushed back to the first week in June which is good because it allows us time to trim everything in the backyard and we don't have to worry about cleaning it out of the pool.

Weather is better this morning. Lots of sun.

Jays lost last night but it was still a good game. Going again tonight.

Fiona

Fiona,
Hope you have fun at the game. Just being there is exciting enough especially when it's the Baltimore Orioles. They aren't very exciting. LOL! So much to see, do and eat... and the shopping.

Ordered a bunch of mulch from the garden center, so hopefullly it will be here this weekend. When you concentrate on the outside, the inside cleaning suffers. You can only do so much.

Tina :)

Hi, folks! Have not checked the boards since last Friday as I have been on the road. Just breezed through recent mesages quickly and want to wish Mike good health so he can fully enjoy Cruisetoberfest II! Although his symptoms - - hey - sometimes I get that way!

I FINALLY got my car down to FL. :) I left Idaho early Saturday and drove the whole distance solo (I'm used to that!). Spent 3 nights on the road and got here early yesterday afternoon. It would have been sooner, but I had to take the LONG southern route through southern Texas to avoid "tornado alley" and flooding areas. Lots to do now! Friday I'm meeting another DISer at WDW. :p

Tina -- it's true just being at the game is exciting and the food well we do cheat on our diets a little although we have started having a picnic dinner on the way down to cut down costs and reduce temptation. We usually get a bag of popcorn to share and that's it.

It's true also that if working outside, inside work doesn't get done. Our dog Lily sweet though she is, is a terror. The living room where she takes all her 'finds' is a disaster at the moment. She's into tea towels, toilet paper and anything else she can find including soap and toothpaste. We have to go in there every day to clean it up and have to admit it's been a couple of days. Don't even want to look. She knows that she's not supposed to get at the stuff because the minute anyone heads towards the living room she takes off in the other direction!

Must get back to work -- desk work. Ugh.

Fiona

Good Morning all. We are both better this am. Thanks for the pixie dust. I guess that little walk Kathy and I did yesterday did her in. There is an office complex not far from here that has a walking path around it. We went yesterday and walked trying to get into shape for the cruise and wdw. The walking path surrounds a small lake with a waterfall and there were several ducks with their babies swimming and walking in the grass eating bugs along with a ton of turtles. It is very relaxing.

Cathy we will have to give the ziplocs a try.

Shari good to see that you made it back safe and sound.

Fiona glad that you enjoyed the game. Lily sounds like the ferrets that me daughter has. One of them used to stack drink cup lids under the couch. When she moved the couch there was a stack of them under there. Mike

Mike & Kathy,

Pixie Dust from Germany to you!!! It's really time for you to get in shape to be able to enjoy The World - And to be competitive in the Scavenger Hunt ;)

Fiona,
congratulations to Canada on being removed from the list of "SARS-countries". I just heard it on the news, that the WHO declared your country "clean" - No new infections for the last 20 days. Seems to me that your health authorities did a great job.

Hi Everyone!, Just stopped in to get caught up. Whew!
Kathy and Mike, glad to hear you are both doing better. Please take care of yourselves.
Just finished my 17th straight day of work. Really looking forward to this weekend.;)
