Mike--- Thanks for the answer regarding the Survivor girls. Maybe now when I will start to watch more than bits and pieces since they are getting down to the last few. I bet that show ends the same week as American Idol and wouldn't see that last show anyway since I will be in WDW.

Now I really need to go back to my little projects.

Nancy

Nancy,
from age 18 til 22 I used to ride my motorbike all year - also during winter in temps around 10 to 20ºF. Like Nietzsche said: "If it doesn't kill you, it makes you harder!" :p
So driving with the top down, the windows and the windblocker up, the heated seats switched on and wearing a hat it is really cozy. But when Anja drives with me it must be warmer to lower the top, because she also feels cold easily.

Rosemary,
did you steal our good weather? Today it rained cats and dogs :(
BTW, I am downloading an episode of Survivor The Amazon right now to have a look at it.

Shari,
I finished the translation and sent it to you. Hope you like it

............Talking about getting the survivor-episode you missed: Try KAZAA, Grokster or a similar P2P-system. Just recently I missed an episode of Dark Angel and was able to find it there. But you should have a fast connection or you'll need eons to retriev the file.
   Eric, I have ABSOLUTELY no idea WHAT you are talking about!  But thanks anyway for the suggestion. :)

Ripp - Thank you so much. I have someone from the Survivor Thread on the community board sending me a copy already but I very much appreciate the offer.

Nancy (PaDisFan) - It IS a beautiful day, ain't it? I was up early and out for that Jazzercise fundraiser and then worked in the yard the rest of the day! It was great. Just came in now to figure out dinner but wanted to check out if my Survivor Angel got my address last night to send me the tape! LOL He did and it will be in the mail tomorrow a.m.! Yippie!

Heeheehee! You mess with my head about the weather and I pay back BIG time!!

Let us know which episode of Survivor you watch and what you thought.

Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the well wishes.:D I finished the 6 mile Walk-A-Thon in under 2 hours, which is a new record for me.
Rose, Your tour of the City sounded like a lot of fun. When we were there in June of 2001 we also walked until our toosties hurt. And Grand Central Station was amazing!!!
I lost my Bruce video.:( I taped his Live in NY concert on HBO. I watch it about once a month, usually while folding my laundry. Well, I went to plug it in last Friday night and it is GONE. DD thinks she may have thrown it away with some other old and worn out tapes. I am so bummed out about it. Maybe someone out there has a tape that could be copied. I would be happy to pay any expenses involved.
I've got to run. Two loads of laundry and dinner to do. Later, Ave

You guys are impossible to keep up with. You go too fast for this old geezer.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. Been really busy at work and at home (being a CPA makes Jan - April FUN)

Hope everyone is doing well.

And just think Robin, we have been really slow for the last month or so.....

Hey everyone! I've missed you guys. Things have been so chaotic here. My brother had moved in with us last month, while he's been trying to find a new job back in the Chicago suburbs. Well, he got a job offer and he moved back to Chicago this weekend. So, the past couple of weeks have been crazy.

We went to Disney last Tuesday for Chris's birthday and Earth Day. The parks were pretty crowded, but that's probably because it was only 2 days after Easter. But, we had a good time and got to ride several rides. And, I have a new favorite restaurant at WDW. O'Hana. If you're a meat-eater, this restaurant is for you!!! Chris ate at least 3 dozen grilled shrimp. Plus, it was our server's birthday too, so she treated him really good for his birthday.

We have decided that May is going to be very busy for us. First off, we're leaving on the 17th for the Bahamas. My best friend from high school is finally getting married (she's been dating this guy for 9 years). She's having it at the Radisson at Cable Beach, so we're making a little family vacation out of it.

Then, Chris just found out that he won a trip to Colorado Springs from May 28th to June 1st. His company has this thing called the President's Club. Everyone in the company votes for people to be in this club, then the executives pick around 50 people for a free trip. Well, this year Chris and his boss both got voted in. This is a big deal for Chris, since he's only been there 15 months, and you have to have been there at least 12 to even be eligible. So, this is his first year to be eligible, and there are people in his department that have never gone. Now, we're waiting to see if spouses can go too. Everyone keeps telling him that they've always gone in the past, but Chris is waiting for the official word. Then, I need to talk my boss into letting me off of work.

Then, just days after that, I'm headed to WDW from June 4-8th for Creating Keepsakes University (it's a scrapbooking convention-type thing). And, I'm going to get to meet Dan too!!!

Well, that's what's going on with us. And now, I'm heading to bed, 'cuz I'm tired!!!

Good morning all. Just a quick note to say hello and we will try to check back in this afternoon after all of our visits.

Mike

Just a stop-in to say HI and ask ... Did you guys know that as adults (and I use that term loosely) we can order "Mickey Bars" for desert at dinner. You know those great ice-cream Mickey Head bars that seem to be able to withstand warm temperatures and never melt. I didn't know that till I just saw it in a thread.

Gotta run ... does this work thing ever end? Seems like so much to do and not time to do it in these days. Starting to get me in a funk.

Have a very Mickey Day!

I knew about the Mickey bars as I did order those for desserts on the last cruise. I think it is all the fat in them that keep it from melting. They have a really high fat content with sort of surprised me.

Weather is great. To bad I am at work today.

Nancy

Ok, Ok -- you can't actually drive from Toronto to Florida in 11 hours. It actually takes around 24 hours. We usually drive it in 2.5 days so one of the days is around 11 hours in the car. It makes for a long day but we usually stop at a Cracker Barrel (which we don't have here in Canada) and rent one of the books on CD and listen to it. It's a really great deal because you buy the book and then if you return it you only get charged $3 for the rental. We listened to 4 books last trip.

We actually went to the Jays games Friday night and then again on Saturday and they lost both games. Yesterday we decided not to go and they won -- hope this isn't an omen. As a promotion to dispute the SARS controversy with the WHO all of the unsold tickets are being sold for $1 for tomorrow's game. If you have a ticket to the game you are supposed to get a voucher to redeem for a future game for a $1. It will be interesting to see what the attendance is for that game. Friday it was around 16,000 and Saturday it was 17,000. Not huge crowds but then the Jays haven't won the World Series in a decade.

It's really nice out today -- not quite shorts weather but it is getting there.

Have to go and listen to my voicemail -- had lunch and then a client and now there's 4 messages waiting to be heard.

Fiona

Fiona,
perhaps Canada and the USA should consider building some Autobahnen. This would enable you to do Toronto - Florida in 11 hours :jester: And it would be good for our economy because you all would have to buy Porsches, Bimmers and Benzes ;)

Talking about desserts: We will surely stick with the wonderful creations of the ship's chefs instead of an icecream-on-a-stick :p They have such a great variety of desserts not available in Europe (And to be honest: we're grateful for that ;) ) that it would be a sin to miss them. As we say in Germany: You've got it in your mouth for seconds only, but it stays on your hips for years!!:jester:

Amy, Your suitcases are going to be worn out before the cruise! Better remember to pack the duct tape and bungee cords.;)
Later, Ave'

Ave - You're not kidding!!! Good thing we bought all new luggage earlier this year. We'll get to break it in over the next month or so.

Ave--- Congratulations on your 6 mile Walk A Thon.

Amy--- June 4-8th for Creating Keepsakes University (it's a scrapbooking convention-type thing). Where in WDW is this being held? I do scrapbooking and was just curious. I am @ WDW on June 4th, but leave on June 5th. Are their various vendors there? If it is something I could register for, I might be interested.

Eric--- I still think you are warm blooded even more so after you told me about the motorbike.

Fionna-- I also was wondering how you were getting to Florida in 11 hours since it takes me over 8 hours to get from Southern PA to Toronto. Did you see on the news that CCL and RCCL were starting to screen people who have been to Toronto up to 14 days prior to their cruise? Then they might deny them from getting on the ship. That was on Sunday and then today, the news said that it appears that SARS is under control in Toronto. People are getting so parnoid about it.

Off to bed.

They same here: They just reported on the news, that a teacher was suspended, because she had been to China during her Easter vacation. The parents threatened to boycott the school, if the lady would start teaching.

As a person who has been lurking my way along, I didn't think I would ever be able to get a milestone post, but here goes nothing.
