We get the Travel Channel but missed these shows. Are they repeats? Because we saw something once about the building of the Magic.

Speaking of T.V., did any of you guys catch the Bob Hope Birthday Special? We just watched it tonight, having taped it because we were out on Sunday. It was so nice!

Rich tells me that when he was in the service he rode in the back of a truck for two hours in order to see Bob Hope. Rich says it was really a great show they put on.

Hi all, sorry I have not been around:( It's been a hecktic few weeks!

Hi Kevin..hice to see you!

I just finished the book "Seabiscuit"! What a great book. Now looking forward to the movie coming out in July:bounce:

I missed posting my :bounce: on Sat ..so will do it now!
25 weeks to go!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

We say part of the Bob Hope Special ... Boy do we miss his shows and sense of humor. Art & I actually saw him in person at the one and only Pocono Fair that was held at the Long Pond Nascar Race Track (long before they started Nascar). He was really good and as I recall we had seats not too far away from the stage.

Gotta run .... don't know whey BUT we are busy at work!

Loved the Bob Hope special. Our favorite program is on tonight JAG!!!

This stupid grass needs cutting for some reason and we are going to have to spray the yard for mosquitoes today also. Darn pests. It is too early to have mosquitoes. Mike

Hi Folks,

another mark on our pre-cruise check-list: Yesterday I was able to buy two nice robes for Anja on Ebay. Chinese style Quipaos, on in ankle-length and one to just above the knee.

Mike,
I have two ideas for your lawn: poor concrete on it and paint it green or get yourself some sheep :jester:
How did you like the "hot" joke I sent you?

Missed the Bob Hope Special although I'd planned to watch it. I feel asleep! I actually napped most of Easter weekend away which was really nice.

Looking forward to JAG tonight -- one of my favourites as well.

Weather is yucky today. It's raining and we might get snow flurries this afternoon. They tell us that it's the end of the yucky weather though and the rest of the week is supposed to be warm and sunny. No need to worry about cutting the grass yet though. Hopefully it won't be a bad bug year but it's still too cold for that as well. Can't believe it's almost the end of April and the weather is still so yuck. Most years we are well into spring by now. Oh well summer will come quite enough.

Take care everyone. Gotta go back to work.

Fiona

Bette & Kim--- Congratulations on your new additions.

I didn't even know there was a Bob Hope special on. DS#2 and my brother both share a birthday with Bob Hope May 29. That was also JFK birthday. So will he be 100 this year?

Fiona-- They had more about the SARS in Toronto on the news again. It was regarding the 3 healthcare workers who refused to stay in quarantined and may have exposed hundreds. What is wrong with people? Everytime they have something on, I think about you and your family. Hope you still well.

Mike-- Norm is soon going to have to get the mowers out. He had both of them tuned up so they are ready to go. Our back yard looks terrible.

American Idol is my TV addiction. Then on Wed at work we all discuss who got kicked off.

Finally the AP rates came out for my May trip, so was able to save more money. Like I won't spend it on something else while I am there.

Back to work.

Nancy

Good news and bad news

I just talked to one of my friends that I had invited at Christmas to go on the cruise with us. They said they are definitely in for next Sept. (have we decided on a date? Dave - didn't you book already?)

I guess the bad news is that his army unit left for Kuwait this morning. She came home from work to get a message on their answering machine that he was on his way today to Kuwait via Germany for up to one year. Talk about last minute notice.

Now I have sept 2004 to look forward too as well. He PROMISED to go with us so I know I don't need to worry -p he will be alright while he's over there. ( Yes, I have to believe this - for myself and for them. )

Hi Everyone!:bounce: :bounce:
I've been trying to keep up with all that's new. But I haven't had a chance to post.
Things are going well here in Fl. Warm days, mild nights, just the way we like it. Power bill going down, down, down. :p
Spent last week in orientation for my new "second job". It is working with developmentally disabled adults. And I think I'm going to like it. We'll see.
I hope everyone had a nice Easter.

Our's was very nice. We went out on our boat Sunday afternoon, and had a lot of fun. Even got to see some dolphin.:smooth: Little sunburn, but I won't complain.
Hang in there northerns! Summer is coming!!!:jester:
Later, Ave'

Glad to see everyone posting who posted. Hello to you all and to you lurkers too.

Tammy and Peter - I was going to find the place in this LONG thread that refers to the Raddison Cruisetoberfest rate but the Search function is not working tonight. The search function was the only way I found it the other night.

Basically, thanks to Cathy (Goofynut), we got a discounted rate for the Raddison for the night prior to the cruise - $89 for a regular *Carribean* room and I believe $119 for the suite with the hot tub. You have to mention Cruisetoberfest rate code to them. At the time I booked, it was right after Cathy made arrangements and the rate was not yet in the computer. The link supplied both the 800 number and the Port Radisson's direct number.

Cathy, or anyone else who may have this information handy to give them, let's not leave our newbies hanging here.

Nancy (York)- Yes, Bob Hope will be 100 this year.

Bettemom - *Dog* is a cat but you didn't say what *Gulliver* is. Congrats on Magic and Wonder.

Nancy (Boothwyn) - Extra special cruise for you to look forward to in 2004. Saying a prayer for your friend to have a safe journey to Kuwait and back.

Mike - Mosquitos!! I couldn't possibly deal with that now. Just still trying to do yard cleanup.

Arlene - I'll be sending you an email shortly regarding DH and my travels in Huntington this past weekend.

Dan - Talk to me honey...

Bette...congrats on the additions to the family! I love Shelties..beautiful dogs!

Nancy (Windy)...sorry to hear your friend is going to Kuwait. I'm sure he will e fine:D

Ave, nice weather here in SC also! Everything is blooming...and the mosquites are VERY HAPPY!:p

Nancy (PaDis) How was Spring Break? Are to boys back to school yet?

Eric...there really is a company that will "spray paint" your brown grass (or dirt, or concret) green, so it looks like grass ...from VERY FAR AWAY!!!!!

Did anyone every post the link to the Radisson info???
I do not have the link, but for any new cruisers who may have missed the info....here it is.
A bunch of us are staying at the Radisson at the port on Friday Oct 10. There is a block of rooms at a discount price 99/119 (I think?). If you call the hotel directly or call the 800# ask for the "Cruisetoberfest" group rate.
We are also planning to have a get together at the Radisson on Friday night.Details will be announced at a later date.

Bedtime for me:wave:

Bette & Kim ... Cool, two new "furry kids". Love the names.

Nancy - Windy ... Bummer about your friend in Kuwait. My boss's new daughter-in-law is there too. Just keep thinking good thoughts!

NEWBIES ... Radisson at the Port info. Here's the web site
www.radisson.com/capecanaveralfl - Ask for the Cruisetoberfest rate. That would be $89 +tax for a Caribbean Room (regular sized), or $119 +tax for a suite. For more specifics, send me a PM and I'll give you their direct toll free tel #.

OK ... I saw a few snow flakes on my way to work ... It's April 23rd already, What's up with that! Had to put mittens on the couple of plants I put in over the weekend.

Back to work..........Have a very Mickey Day

Cathy with @ C

I am here Tulirose! Just been quite busy! How many days until vacation? Oh wait I get to go to WDW in June.

How is everyone? Chilly here today.

Have you guys thought of a date for 2004? Let us know.

Dan

Hi Folks,
we already have temps in the high 70ies/low 80ies :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
The trees are getting greener from day to day, the flowers are in blossom and our car is only driven with the top down and Anja and I sporting wide grins :teeth: :teeth:

I just hope that all of us will find back to the old posting frenzy as our cruise gets closer.

What's up, Folks

Bottom part of Page 2!!!

:Pinkbounc It's official :Pinkbounc I'm ready to be commited. Last night Art and I started to go for our walk and then had to go back in and put on WINTER COATS, HATS & GLOVES. By the time we got back from the walk my ears were numb from the cold and I had snow on my coat. WHAT"S UP WITH THAT! Give me SPRING and give it to me NOW.

(OK, I feel better now)

I agree Eric, we have been awfully quiet lately.

Rosemary, How is the kitty? I was telling my dentist about his choppers getting wired and he couldn't stop laughing. ? is there a special Vet that does kitty dental work.

Bette & Kim ... Did the new "babies" sleep all night for you or aren't they puppies?

Mike ... How's the second fish coming?

Dan ... How's your co-worker doing after that awful burn accident?

EBERYBODY ELSE ... at least stop in and say HI and keep us from falling back to page OMG 3.

Cathy with @ C

Hi Cathy,
I don't know if that's a consolation for you: Right now -3pm- we have 73ºF. Iwouldn't mind being dipped into the water by you :p

Shari,
"Der Stern" (The Star), one of Germany's most popular illustrated magazines (Like Time or Newsweek) sports an 3-page-article about Spruce Creek, Florida and the living in an "Airpark". I'm gonna read it tonight. Shall I keep it for you and bring it to the ship?

Cathy with a c -- I can so relate to the weather thing. We went out walking Tuesday night wearing winter coats and I was so sorry that I didn't wear a hat. It was cold and the wind was awful. It's supposed to get warmer here and hopefully it will stay this time. We did have one really nice day but that's been all.

We are all fine here in terms of SARS. It really hasn't impacted us at all except that it's on the news a lot. We are actually planning to go to the Blue Jays game on Friday night.

Gotta go -- vice principal from DS school is on the telephone -- not a good sign.

Fiona

It appears that my S (not DS at the moment) has not been attending his classes despite the fact that he misses the bus regularly and I drive him. He was in the room when the vp called so dinner tonight could be interesting. He's missed 20 first period classes, 15 second period, 10 fourth period and 14 fifth period. He has lunch third period that I'm sure he hasn't missed. He's in danger of losing credits at this point which is too bad because he's doing ok in his classes especially first period. He's supposed to bring me home an attendance chart every Friday or if he doesn't I can call in for it. Ugh.
