HEY All, was just messing around with aol travel

and i punched up our cruise , was thinking of upgrading to at least a verandah room cat 7 would be fine , from cat 9
this will probably be done at port...
I got some Saturday work this week and some Sunday work
time and half on saturday and DOUBLE TIME on sunday
im a union surveyor in Boston..... my motto u have to make Hay while the Sun shines....

but anyways i punched in cat 4 and it would only offer me a Garantee for this cat.... so what do u think would be chance of upgrade from there lol Just wondering Peter

I don't quite understand what it means when they say a GTY. Does that mean that they sold out of that cat and they will be finding you a room in that cat or better? We don't have a GTY, we asked for certain rooms so we could be across the hall from my parents. I was just wondering because I have read posts and people stated that they have cat 9 GTY.

Cathy, your sister in Nashville(Kathy) had one heck of a deal today. Joann's had these leather rolling scrap booking cases on sell today. Normally they are $149.00, they were on sale today for $80.00 and she had a 50% off coupon. She got the cases for $40.00 a piece not bad huh?

I have to take the saturn in for an oil change tomorrow and let them check the air conditioner out. I think it is low on freon, not sure.

We paid $3,200 for 3 adults, Catagory 5 with a Veranda. Is this a good price for Florida Discount? We got it though All Seasons Travel.
We can hardly wait for Oct 11.

Walt, As far as I'm concerned that a good price. We have a Cat. 6 on deck 6. We payed right at 4,000. But we have 2 Adults, a 13 year old which is counted as an adult and a 6 year old.

Waltjr, GREAT Price. Another thing to make me want to be a Florida resident

No upgrades on this cruise, but on our first cruise in September 2000 we did get an upgrade.....and what an upgrade. It was from a Cat 4 to a Cat 3 suite. And even that was actually from a Cat 5 price. It was the first year of the 7 day cruises. That along with Hurricane season made for some good prices. There were also about other 3 DISers on that cruise that got upgrades to cat 3's.

Only problem with that is that it spoils you and makes you yearn to get a suite again.....so last year on our 25th Wedding Anniversay I cast frugality to the wind and booked another suite. Disney knows how to get the $$$ out of you one way or another. But I am not complaining. It was GREAT!!!!

Nancy...I am going to try a pedicure again, BUT... I am going to bring my own foot bath with me. I have the same exact one she uses, but no one (but me) has ever used it. I will also ask her to dip everything (clippers and such) in alcohol before using it on me. If she will not do these things, I will skip the pedicure. It's not worth risking another infection

Dave...good to see you posting! Maybe your past good (upgrade) luck will rub off on the rest of us.

George just got home from bidding a paint job. He said the house is REALLY BIG! The owner wants all the trim painted (exterior) and it will take DH about 3 weeks to do it all! Big job = steady work= good bucks

We are going to the NASCAR Race in Darlington in just 9 days!It's going to be fun to be away for the weekend kidless!

Tomorrow is FRIDAY YIPPEEE!!!

Have to baby sit both car and grand daughter tomorrow. A retiree's work is never done.

Really made my morning .... especialy after the day I had yeaterday. I had a very elderly client that I had to make a house call to. After an hour of driving around in one of the worst sections--with no street signs I finally found the house and guess what ... He died in June and no one had the brains to give me a call or answer my 6 letters. I was not a happy camper, especially since it was 99 degrees and I was in and out of the car 4 times trying to get directions. OK I feel better now after venting.

Gotta get caught up on some work.
