Someone told me that this is no longer free, does anyone know how much they charge?
TIA

It was "free" in March when I flew from PHL on Southwest. I did tip the skycaps, though.

Thats what I did in 06 but the lady from the limo service told me that they are charging for it now:confused3

I just spoke to my friend who is waiting at MCO for her flight back to PHL. They didn't use curbside, but didn't see any signs that said there was charge. :confused3 I have tried searching the PHL website www.phl.org but couldn't find anything about skycaps or curbside checkin.

I did find this little bit about curbside check-in from phl.org

Vehicles are permitted to pull up curbside in front of the terminal for ACTIVE unloading ONLY. Vehicles left unattended will be towed. Curbside check-in is available for most airlines. Check with your airline for specific information.

Maybe certain airlines are charging :confused3

Thanks Pam, I guess I'll see on Monday, if they are charging and it's only a few $$ a bag then I would gladly pay rather than lug the bags;)

Hopefully you will post your findings. I love the curbside check-in and would also pay a few extra $$. Just want to make sure have the right kind of bills.

A friend of mine flew, on USAirways, Monday, out of Philly.

She was telling me they charge $2 a bag for curbside check-in now. I don't know if it's the airline or the airport that charges, though.

$2 a bag sounds like a good price to me, I will definately let everyone know what happens, Im flying airtran

It's the airline. USAirways, United and I believe American charge $2 per bag.

We are on Airtran maybe we will see you at the airport I'll be the one with the crazy family and my bright pink crocs!
My ds 12 has a BIG jack skellington top hat that he was going to wear to the airport but I think he chickened out, man that would have been so funny to see him walking around in that maybe I can still talk him into it then you definately wont miss us.

I just flew Usairways last Wednesday and there was no charge in PHL for curbside check in, but coming home on Friday from Wash D.C. there was a $2charge to use curbside.

USAir has a policy of charging $2 per bag for curbside:

*$2 per bag (cash only, gratuities not included) charge for Curbside Check-in at this location.

Philly and Orlando are on this list. Ironically USAir is not one of the ME airlines so you can't check them at the resort. I am not flying USAir and will be able to check in via ME at my resort.

AMERICAN AIRLINES
Curbside Check-In is available for passengers checking bags for a domestic itinerary. You can have electronic or paper tickets, with or without a pre-reserved seat. Curbside Check-In is also a great option if you used online Flight Check-In and you have bags to check. At most airports, a fee of $2.00 per bag will be collected (cash only) for Curbside Check-In service.
