We will be having dinner at CRT on June 25th at 9:20! I called yesterday expecting them to say that there was nothing available during our stay but to my surprise there were several late night openings.

It will be me, my 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter. I am assuming that princess attire is okay for my daughter. (Is that right?)

What should my son and I wear? Could he get away with nice shorts and a polo style shirt? Should I wear a skirt or dress? I don't want to be out of place but I would like to be comfortable.

We plan to spend the morning in the Magic Kingdom and return about 8:00 for dinner.

Do we get the pictures with Cinderella at dinner or is that just a breakfast thing?

Thank you for any help you can give us with this! This is such a fun board!

Totally casual. Whatever you're wearing at the park is fine....unless you're picky about what you're wearing for your pic with Cindy. A couple of years ago I wore jeans and a TOT t-shirt. Wish I was wearing a better top...otherwise it's really your choice.

Great! I wasn't looking forward to getting dressed up and traipsing through the park.

What about my daughter? Should she wear her Cinderella costume or just regular clothes? Do little girls dress up?
Thanks!

I don't think Cinderella is there for the dinner. I think maybe just the Fairy Godmother. I think the characters are there for the breakfast and the lunch. On another site it states that you will still have your pictures taken and presented to you during your dinner.

Cinderella is downstairs where you will wait to have your picture taken. Fairy Godmother and the two mice Suzie and Perla I beleive are in the dining hall and do a little show with the mice scurrying to the tables for a quick photo op. Of course you DD can dress as Cinderella, she's in a castle....after all.:)

When I was at CRT in 2005, there were no characters there for dinner, only for breakfast. Cinderella came in once, waved to the room, and left. No pictures were taken with her.

That may have changed in the last 3 years, obviously others have had different experiences.

I see tons of little girls all day dresses as princesses and it's so cute! I think for dinner in the castle, it's totally appropriate! Otherwise, casual park attire is good! When we went, we went in our jean shorts & Disney tees. :goodvibes

Okay! I guess I need to call back and confirm that there will be characters there.

Has anyone been there for dinner and if so was Cinderella downstairs taking pictures?

I thought that this would be a special treat for the kids and I since my husband has a late evening at his conference. Without the characters, I think that it is more $$ than I want to spend on dinner.

I appreciate all of your help!

We were there last summer for dinner at CRT, and it was cinderella downstairs in the lobby. You posed for photos with her in the castle lobby, and the photos are presented to you in a fancy folder around dessert time. She spent a decent amount of time talking to the kids, fussing over them and signing autographs. You get a photo package with your dinner, an 8x10 and two smaller ones, or if you are a large party, two packages. We had DD pose with cindy, and then the two boys for the second package. Upstairs we were greeted and all the boys (even the big boys DH and grandpa, got swords) and the girls, wands. After we were seated the fairy godmother and all the mice came out and did a short (10 min) singing and dancing show which was very cute. The fairy godmother and several mice stopped at many tables, including ours, for photos and hugs for the kids. We thought it was great:cloud9: I wore a jean skirt and t-shirt, and DH shorts and a golf shirt. DD wore her first communion dress, complete with diamond tiara (at her insistance! although I did draw the line and refuse to allow the party shoes) and the boys wore jean shorts and golf shirts. I saw people who were dressier than us, and also people who were way more casual....so whatever you wear, you will be fine.

I appreciate your responses. I am going to call to verify that nothing has changed. I tried earlier and waited on hold and gave up. I will try again.
Thank you so much for your replies!

We just booked today for dinner during our Oct. trip. The ressie lady told me that Cindy "should" be in the lobby for photos, but the Fairy Godmother is the primary character in the dining room.... and of course, the character line up is "subject to change".

My friend went about a month ago and indeed had a picture with Cinderella. The reservation agent told me (I booked it for her) that Cinderella was the only princess guaranteed to be there.

The other posters are correct. It is now just the Fairy Godmother and the mice, Suzie and Perla, in the dining room at dinner. They do a little "celelbration show" and flit around the dining room, but they really do not do extended stays at each table for photos and autographs. You do get your picture taken with Cinderella in the lobby on the way in. Breakfast and lunch are very different. You have many princesses circulating through the dining room for pictures and autographs.
Casual clothes are fine, but as an earlier poster said, I wished I was a little dressier in our picture. DD will be right at home in her Cinderella dress.
Have a good time.
