As I am writing this I am livid! My dh company decided that they are now going to do something called vacation bidding. Which means it is like the lottery for vacation time. Our trip for October might be in jeapordy and it looks like we won't be going until Feburary. That point aside I really cannot do anything until this "lottery" goes down at the end of the month.

I am wondering since we will be going at an off time of year, if getting reservations at CRT might be any easier? I am sure I probably know the answer to this question, but maybe someone could offer some hope.

easier is a relative term.

you absolutely can make ADRs if you know the potential dates though, whether it's confirmed or not. you can always cancel if things fall through.

Well, on the bright side, many say that February is a quieter time for WDW. And you know that October is becoming one of their busier months, with all the conventions. And if you do postpone your vacation, you'll still have WDW to look forward to after October has come and gone...
This bidding-for-vacation is nuts. Gosh--what will you do when your kids are in school?
