I am starting to think about where we want to dine in August and am considering CRT. I ate there a long, say 20 years ago, but have not a clear understanding of what it is like today. We have a will turn 5 year old and 2.5 year old, both girls who love princesses.

A couple of questions:

1- are the pictures included in the price?
2- who is at the meals/ in both the lobby and roaming?
3- food reviews appreciated
4-DD is a big Snow White fan- is she ever at CRT?

We have done the norway breakfast the past two trips and want to try something else, considering the princess dinner there. We also tried Park Fare this past year during its rehab.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

1- are the pictures included in the price?
YES

2- who is at the meals/ in both the lobby and roaming?

Cinderella is at all three meals in the lobby for the package photo. Breakfast and lunch has a variety of princesses, sometimes also prince charming, fairy god mother, alice and/or Mary Poppins. subject to change.

Dinner is not really a character meal and there are no princesses upstair circulating. Fairy Godmother and the two mice do a celebration ceremony and that's about it.

3- food reviews appreciated:

We very much enjoyed our many breakfasts there and our dinner in 2005 on my 40 birthday.

4-DD is a big Snow White fan- is she ever at CRT?

Yes, she has been there almost every time we've eaten there (except dinner).

Having said that, we much prefer Storybook due to the amount of princesses and the lower price, oh, and due to Ariel being there! :thumbsup2

We never missed dining at Cindy's when my children were small and now we bring our DGC! If the kids haven't been to the castle....I would take them. There is just something special about dining there. While I don't like having a limited menu, the food is good. The pictures are great. All that being said, we are taking our GDs in Feb and are doing Storybook and Cindy's.

I agree with PP, menu is limited, but then it really isn't so much about the food. That being said, the food was pretty good (lunch). My DD4 princess: and I both have tears in our eyes when we look at the picture I took of her with Cinderella. CRT is a must do!

We took DD when she was 6 and she doesn't really remember it, - but for the priceless memories for us it was worth it. There really is nothing that compares to dining in the caste. This year we are doing dinner at CRT and DD is now 10 and is very excited about it. We did Akerheus last time and although the food was okay we felt like we were in a bit of a cattle car. To each his own always, but we will not be redoing it this time.

We celebrated our DD5's 5th bday w/a stop at BBB and then lunch at the castle. We had a wonderful time. We actually thought the food was pretty good - the best TS we had until we ate Kona Cafe but I was very pleased w/the food. The kids had chicken strips & DH & I had Major Domos pie (I think thats the name of it) it was really pretty good. The salad brought out as an app was delicious. I had ordered DD a bday cake so we didn't try the desserts - they did bring out some vanilla icecream w/the cake as a replacement. Lets see - we met Cinderella in the lobby (pics are included in the price of the meal), Snow White, Belle, Fairy Godmother & Aurora were the princesses roaming around the restaurant. They were all very friendly. DD2 was in awe & DD5 had a good time. I didn't get the reaction I was hoping for from DD5 but thats ok. She had a wonderful bday at the castle.

The next time we go to disney we'll be celebrating DD2's 4th bday so we'll be eating at the Castle again - hopefully if I can get us a ressie.

I would definitely schedule it - theres nothing like eating in Cinderellas Castle. It is more expensive then other meals but how I look at it is we've spent thousands of dollars to get there whats another $100 or so. Have a wonderful vacay whatever you decide. Have fun!

Okay more questions:
So there are actually the same number of "princess" characters at the CRT for breakfast and lunch?

What do they do special for birthdays?

How rushed are the characters?

Thanks for all the help!

Seems like SW, Aurora & Belle are there most of the times but I've read that Jasmine, Mary Poppins & Alice have been there. It changes. The characters didn't seem rushed at all - in fact a couple (Aurora & FG) came by 2 times. As far as bdays- I ordered a cake ahead of time for DD5 so I'm not sure what they would have done if I hadn't have ordered a cake. Maybe a special bday cupcake. Maybe someone can help w/that. I'll attach the link for bday cakes and the pic of DD's bday cake. Make sure if you book CRT to tell the CM that you're celebrating a bday. Heres the link:

Post #2254 is my DD5's cake and on the first page is all the info.

Have fun!

I was there on my birthday last year. I was with my younger brother who has Downs....he was going to make sure my b'day was recognized. They brought out a special cupcake on a decorated plate. (It really was more than just a cupcake...more like a small cake.... a little larger than a cupcake) This was at dinner and they did this for all birthdays and anniversaries.

I have eaten at CRT 4 times (including lunch for my birthday the last 3 years). I love eating there. The food for lunch is good, and I always get the pasta. Last year the princesses there were: Cinderella (lobby), Fairy Godmother, Belle (blue dress), Jasmine, and Snow White. The photo package comes with the meal, and is quite nice. There is also a wand or sword given to the young people (although, I was given a wand too).

We were just at CRT on Nov. 16 for breakfast. (DD4; DS7)

Here's what we experienced:
Cinderella was downstairs in lobby area for photos. Did not feel rushed getting pictures taken. Photos are included in the price.

Food was *wonderful* :goodvibes . Muffins/croissants/danishes were already in a basket on the table. Fresh Fruit was cut up in a bowl on table, as well. We had 2 options presented to us: A granola and fruit healthy breakfast, or a traditional bacon and eggs meal. We chose the unhealthy option. ;) This also included a to-die-for cheese puff danish which was prepared as french toast with a fresh blueberry compote on top. The kids had french toast sticks, eggs and bacon. They loved it. Of course juices and coffee is served, as well. It's all served on individual plates, but they happily bring you more of any item that you request more of - it's all you can eat.

The princesses we saw that morning included Belle, Aurora (sleeping beauty), Jasmine and Mary Poppins. We had enough time to chit-chat get signatures and pics and didn't feel rushed. It was nice!

Just as we were beginning to pack up to leave we were approached with our photos.

There is nothing that compares to eating in the castle. The dining room is just breathtaking! Oh, and a cute little 'wishing ceremony' happens where the girls had been given wands and the boys given swords and they wished over wishing stars and all these little sparkles happen throughout the dining room. it was precious!

Hope this helps you! Have a blast!
