CRT Question

I just found out that we're going to be going to Florida at the end of the summer. I'd like to make a reservation for my daughter and I for CRT. I looked and they have several lunch time reservations for the day we plan to be at MK. Apparently they charge your cc for the entire amount of your meal when you make your reservation. What happens if you need to cancel your reservation? For example - If there are bad thunderstorms the day we plan to go, we'd probably wait until a later day to do MK since you need MK entrance to do the dining reservations. Or what if I can get a reservation for breakfast (which is what I'd prefer) if someone cancels closer to the day? I'd rather not pay the $$ for a lunch I don't eat.

Are you going to have the Disney Dining plan attached to your reservation? If you do, you only need to give them your CC# when making your CRT reservation- they won't charge your credit card at all. Definitely the way to go if you've got the dining plan! Enjoy your trip! We have a CRT breakfast reservation for the first time for our June trip and can hardly wait!

All Disney TS ADR's now must be cancelled by 11:59 PM the night before or you are charged a $10/person no show fee.
I don't know about CRT specifically, but some of the prepaid ADR's charge the full amount for no shows.
So you will not be able to decide that day if you are going or not

What if I would cancel a few days before due to the weather forecast or I get a better reservation for breakfast a month in advance. Will they refund my cc or are you just stuck paying it even if you cancel well in advance?

No dining plan. We are going because friends of our offered us their time share (off property) to use. We're going to try to get to Sea World and Lego Land in addition to Magic Kingdom. I'd love to do the princess breakfast at Epcot, but we aren't planning on going their this trip.

Cancellation at CRT is 2 days prior not the day before like most ADRs.

As long as you cancel in time, they will refund the amount you paid when you made the ADR. Assuming CRT is like most ADRs, it must be cancelled by 11:59 pm the day before (so if you have any meal planned on Tuesday, it must be cancelled by 11:59 pm on Monday). As long as you cancel in time, they will refund the full amount.

(Note: the dining phone lines close at 11:00 pm, so if you want to cancel between 11:00 pm and 11:59 pm, you'll have to do it online.)

You can cancel dining reservations without penalty before the cancellation deadline. Once that deadline passes there is a penalty assessed. For CRT, the deadline was 2 days before and the penalty was the full pre-paid amount when we went, but check all your reservations for the current cancellation policy.

If a better time comes up and you cancel before the deadline your pre-payment will be refunded. Many guests change reservations when they search online and find a more desirable time.

For restaurants that have a $10 per person penalty the cancellation deadline is usually 11:59 PM the night before. Again, you can cancel anytime prior to that without a penalty.

No it isn't. There is a one day cancellation policy. Full price will be charged if you cancel on the same day or do not show for the reservation.

When I made my August ADR in February it was written 2 days like it was written 5 days for TTFDP.

Just to clarify: From the HUB - There is a 1 day cancellation policy. Full price will be charged / forfeited if Guest cancels within 1 day or no shows for the reservation.
