So what are the chances of getting a reservation for a party of 9 for Cinderellas Royal Table? I was doing a "test" and wasn't finding anything. It would be the second week of January and we aren't picky on times. My hubby and I are staying on property but no reservations yet. I'm guessing to increase my chances I would want to make my reservations so I can get the extra 10 days.

You will likely want to be able to book up to your 10+ days. And, you have to call to make CRT reservations, but I bet if you book early on your 190+10 day, you could get it.

You can book CRT online. However, it may be that you need to split your group up to make the booking. I'd call promptly at 7AM if you find you cannot book online at 6AM.

I would definitely recommend making your resort reservation so you can take advantage of the 180+10 onsite ADR perk.

We did CRT with a group of 9 several years ago. The ADRs weren't released right at 180 days for some reason, they became available about a week or two later. But then we had our pick of times. And you can always split it into two smaller groups if that helps.

I did for last November with 9. I made it for the 7th day of our trip with no problems.

Don't forget if you're not on the dining plan this is prepay so be prepared for that as well.

I did end up making my resort reservation to get an extra advantage. I just went to the app to "practice" getting a CRT reservation and I do see it says to call to reserve so I guess it can't be done online?

Not from the App. It can be reserved from desktop only.

NOTES ON GROUP SEATING (PARTY BEING SPLIT UP) "411":
1) The disclaimer of being split up is on all ADR's.
2) This is in case your party must be separated.
3) Parties of up to six are seldom split.
4) Parties of seven and above are more frequently split.
5) It is a matter of
. . . availability of tables which can be combined
. . . combining tables so that aisles are not compromised or blocked
. . . when you made the reservation, and how many others were made before you
. . . the physical layout of the eatery
. . . if they can fill the smaller two-or-three person tables (usually along walls or by pillars)
. . . the number of guests each SERVERS has, as the SERVERS are supposed to be evened-out for tips (per union contract)
6) They also must take into account the restaurant capacity
. . . if there are a lot of ressies, the eatery can be sold out
. . . combining tables reduces the number of seats available (end seats are lost)
. . . example: push two 4-top tables together and you seat six instead of eight
. . . thus, combining tables reduces capacity by 25%-50% per group
. . . for very busy days, revenue is more important than group convenience of sitting together
7) With the above being said
. . . they do try to combine tables to accommodate the group
. . . but, be prepared if splitting does occur for your group

Tomorrow is the big day! I just had a random concern and hope someone can calm my fears or confirm and help me with a plan. My goal is to make the reservation for 9 but I fully expect to have to split it. I came across a post talking about how the system requires you to make reservations at least an hour apart. Is that only if you book two different restaurants? Will I have a problem booking for example a party of 6 and a party of 3 within (hopefully) 15 minutes of each other. Only 2 of us are staying onsite if that makes a difference. Thank you!

Just posting this in case anyone has the same question. My concern was confirmed this morning when I made one reservation for 3 people and went to make the other one for 6 people and it wanted me to cancel the first one. I had to wait until the phone line opened at 7 but they were able to make the 2nd reservation for the same time. My 2nd reservation still isn't in MDE but I guess that might take a while to show up or I might have to link the reservation with the reservation number. For what it's worth- I read somewhere that CRT got rid of larger tables and that seems to be true. I looked for a party of 9 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all 10 days and not a single result. The phone cm didn't confirm this but she tried for a party of 9 and didn't get anything either.
