we have a day in the middle of our Nov trip where we are meeting no family all day! SO it will be just me daughter 7, son 5 and maybe husband if he wants to come to the meal. The kids want to do pirates league (have done it before) and no one else in our huge party does so we will do it that day. My question is would you do CRT or BOG? Lunch or breakfast? With Pirates before or after? We did BOG lunch 2 years ago but it was really hot out and the kids were tired. We will be on the dining plan. Any thoughts?

cRT is 2 credits, so there is that to consider. It is also a character meal. BOG is qs at lunch and breakfast, I believe, and no characters. So really depends on what you want out of it.

If you can get BOG pre-park opening, that's a great QS credit that allows for you to avoid the hotter parts of the day, before they are tired, and also jump into busier lines early (or even walk on...I walked onto 7 Dwarfs Mine Train last time because of it :D :D).

If you want breakfast at CRT, I'd pay out of pocket, as two credits is not a good trade for the actual cash price of the ticket. It's a great experience as well, just a costlier one.

It all depends if you want it to be a character meal or not. CRT is 2 dining credits, the food is okay for dinner so I can't vouch for breakfast or lunch, but getting to see a good amount of popular princesses with the kids in their pirate gear will make for great pictures. It is special to eat in the castle and feel like royalty. I know at dinner children got wands or swords and a wishing star. That may be the same protocol for B & L?

I've done BOG lunch and dinner. B & L there are no characters and dinner you do get to meet the beast for a photo op.

If I were making this decision I would do pirates before and CRT for lunch because those photos would be adorable and you can cross a few meet and greets/autographs off your checklist. IF your children wouldn't mind meeting princesses or not then pirates before and BOG for lunch would be my next pick.

I should mention we are planning Norway princess breakfast and a. 1900 PF dinner one day, not sure who we will see in CRT I guess wondering if the ambiance is worth the price. Or is there a better place to take them after pirates? Daughter was a mermaid last time and son a pirate and year before they both picked pirate.

If you're also eating at Akershus, I wouldn't bother with CRT. The princess interaction is much better at Akershus, and CRT is really expensive for meh food.

If you are doing Akershus and 1900, I wouldn't do CRT. After Pirates League, I would do Skipper Canteen. It's less of an "event" and it's more "adventure" themed. Plus it's really close to Pirates League!! If you just want QS, take them to Pecos Bill's. It's right around the corner.
