HMMM, no fillet!! Wonder what the seafood creation and chicken creation is. Could be anything!! They sure cheapened it all up!! I will probably cancel. There's lots of other 1 credit places with much better menus!!!

I definitely wouldn't pay that much for breakfast unless they included a very stiff Bloody Mary.

What really bothers me about the changes at CRT is the dinner. Once this change goes through, there will no longer be any decent (IMHO) place to have a relaxing, non- character, nice menu dinner anywhere in the Magic Kingdom. The food quality at Tony's simply is not as good as what CRT's dinner offerings have been. :(

I wouldn't consider the new menu offerings good food except the prime rib!! Not for $40 anyway!! Does anyone know what the lunch menu will be?

Never been and no intentions of going.. Not a good value in my book.. :flower:

We've eaten in the Castle twice, once back in the "olden days" when it was King Stephan's, the food was delicious. Then after the "change" to Cinderella's Royal Table. Both meals were for lunch. The second meal, after the change, was very disappointing.

Now that it is going to some sort of "character meal" all the time, we'll skip it. Personally, the only "character dining" I really enjoyed was the original Chef Mickey's at DtD (where Rainforest is now.)

I went to CRT for dinner in August. I was on the dining plan. I don't think it would have been good value if I had to pay the menu price. It looks like the dinner menu is going down. The only way I'd go back is if I was hungry, had extra money to burn and found it there was no wait for a guest without a reservation. Based on the new menu and pricing I don't plan on eating there again.

LewisC, do you know what the noon luch meal is being changed to? I know you posted the dinner menu. TIA

I just linked to what someone else posted. I'm not sure if it's being changed at all. Dinner is going from an a la carte menu to a set menu but lunch was already a set price. The dinner menu had to be changed Disney doesn't have to change breakfast or lunch.

I was hoping to take my nephew to CRT dinner during his birthday trip in June. I had a really really nice meal there at the end of my recent trip and thought it would be a nice way for him to be able to eat in the castle. I wouldn't hesitate to pay the new price IF there is something for me to eat (I'm a picky eater) and if the quality of the food is good.

Just my $.02

I just got off the phone with a dining CM and she did look it up and said the dinner menu will change as of Feb. 1st. She stated the very same menu LewisC posted. No more picking appetizers or desserts. Only 4 entrees and 3 of them are creations, whatever that means! Prime Rib is the only known thing!! :rotfl:

We were hoping to do CRT on our trip in May. My 18-year-old daughter wanted to finally eat in the castle but when she found out it had gone up to 2 credits decided it wouldn't be worth it.

In all honesty, I never had a strong desire to dine in the castle when it was King Stephans and would pass on it now also, however I did book it for dinner for our December trip. I know our DD7 would enjoy eating in Cinderella's castle, and we paid for the dining plan, so I figured what the heck. To us, food is food, sure some of it is great and some is tasteless, however I'm sure there will be something there to eat that is okay. What I would never do is "pay" 2 credits per person to dine there, nor would I pay OOP if the prices were sky high - so with that in mind, this will no doubt be our first and last dining experience at CRT.

Would I ever dine there again? YES, If I won several million in the lottery, or someone stopped me in MK and said I just won dinner for my family at CRT absolutely free and with no wait times and a window table, LOL. I can't see either happening, so there you go.....

I am glad I took our family to eat at CRT this past May. We did a late b'fast (as our lunch). It was beautiful, the princesses were attentive...but the only reason we considered it then was dd was still under 3 and therefore free! It made the meal more of a deal. The bread basket was wonderful....the rest of the food was barely edible. Fortunately they kept refilling our breads/rolls/danish etc and that left us all satisfied.

The new prices for all 3 meals are ridiculous! I would not consider this restaurant any more. I feel so sorry for other families who have not been, and were looking forward to the experience, and will now have to shell out over $100 for a family of 4 for b'fast and more for lunch or dinner!!!! It's just not right. :rotfl2: What I fear most is that other char meals will soon follow suit and raise their prices at a higher % than past yrs.

With all this "excitement" over CRT & the new pricing I am wondering how many people will alter their plans. I am glad that we have our reservations for Dec. - unless they make MAJOR changes to the menu it will probably be our last time eating there.

Are you going to change your plans?

We have ADR for CRT in mid December and are on the Dining Plan. Did someone say that they charge 2TS for this dinner?
Thanks!

Not while you're there. It doesn't go up until 2006.

We ate at the Castle for the first time last week during our trip. It had been a dream of mine to eat there at least once. The food was good, but honestly, with the price increase, that would not be worth it. I don't care about the pictures, I can do that with my own camera. I'm glad I got the chance to eat there before this change because I doubt we'll eat there again!
