I got an ADR (as some of you have probably seen from my previous posts :rolleyes1 ) at CRT 12/20 @ 2...

Well. My brother, despite the "hot princess" trick, will need major convincing to go there willingly. My question is- how picky are they about changing things on the menu? And is the blueberry/lemon ice cream thing the only dessert? He won't eat that.. If I called ahead is there any chance I could secure him something a little more plain/simple?
I know my brother and I know I'll feel guilty if I drag him there and watch him pick at his food- that and it's a pretty pricey place for him to not enjoy himself at least a little and get a good meal out of it..

Also.. (sorry, I'm full of questions/insecurities!) has anyone eaten there, or is there anyone that WILL EAT there before our trip that could help give me a better idea of what the different meals are like? I'd prefer to be able to tell him "this is sorta like... *whatever*".... :confused3

Sorry, I'm freaking out about this trip but when it comes to things like that I like to try to give him an idea of what to expect (I'm a terribly worrisome little sister!) and this trip is my present to him.. I feel like I should make an effort to do things he will enjoy just as much as me.. and if CRT doesn't fit in.. then I'll just have to find another place..

Thanks in Advance to ANYONE that can give me ANY help....

Don't get me wrong I am totally into the CRT thing, just the fact you get to eat in the Castle is awesome, then to throw in some characters, my kids are going to love it, including the boys. BUT something in what you have said stuck out-- you are planning this trip for him-- why would you drag him to a place you know he won't enjoy? I say if its something you want to do book it for yourself and leave him out of it, I am sure a guy can find his own food and entertainment at Disney for an hour. JMHO

I know he'll like eating in the castle- it's the characters and the food I'm not so sure about.

Also, he wouldn't want to just be left alone while I go off and eat. It's our trip together (just funded by me)...

If you've already looked at the menu and you don't think he will like anything there, I think I would pass on CRT. The castle is nice, but it's not nice enough to make up for not eating anything you like.

I've eaten dinner there and it was very good. Lots of simple things like prime rib, salads, and chicken. It's nothing too fancy.
