We are trying to decide between getting an ADR for lunch or breakfast at CRT.

Is there any difference with the characters?

And about the ADR. I've seen all the warnings about the difficulty about making this ADR. Is it really as hard as they say?

Our travel agent said that it isn't a problem for her to get us in there. Do they have a different method of getting the reservation?

I don't want to miss getting this ADR!

Thanks!

It's not as hard as it used to be since they increased the price, made it pre-paid and added lunch and also the PSB meals at Epcot.

We prefer eating an early breakfast (8:00a when the park opens at 9:00a) so that we have the park to ourselves and can get some amazing photos of the Castle. Then we get a nice, early start to the day.

Maybe if I were going during a very HOT time like August, I do an early entry morning at MK and then have lunch at CRT before heading back to the resort for a swim or nap.

But I still prefer breakfast!

So are the characters the same at each?

We are going in December.

We're debating about going first thing and getting an early start to the MK that day. Or letting DD go to BBB first then go to a lunch with Cinderella.

Yes, they are pretty much the same at both meals. It just depends on scheduling or who calls in sick.

You'll see Cinderella downstairs and then you could see Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Jasmine, Snow White, Fairy Godmother or Prince Charming. I've also see Wendy and some have seen Peter Pan. You just never know who you'll get but they'll be at least 3 or 4 princesses.

Have fun!

We prefer lunch. We've done both and prefer lunch food over breakfast. We do CP to get in the park early. Lunch is a nice break for us mid day. :)

As for the food, I'm leaning toward breakfast. DD will be 4 when we go. The menu for breakfast has a few more things on it she'd like.

I would definitley do breakfast.. You get into the park earlier (and then have it to yourselves!), the characters aren't tired yet, and I think the food at breakfast is better. I don't believe there is a difference in characters.
There's no better way to start your day at Disney than with a breakfast at the CRT! It really puts you in the Disney mood. :)

Sounds like you should go for the breakfast! Enjoy! :)

We talked about it last night and we are going to shoot for breakfast.

So does anyone have experience with travel agents making this reservation for you?

She says she can do it. Can they really do it? I hate to chance not getting this!

I'm assuming she'd book it at your 180 day mark, or there abouts....in which case you shouldn't have any problems. Now, trying to get it on a holiday weekend when you're less than 3 months out - definitely a difficult task. :rotfl:

I don't know if our TA was just bad, but I didn't trust her with anything when I realized I knew more about Disney than she did. Plus, I'm one of those people who has everything organized and I like knowing that it's done and not having to rely on someone else. That's just me though. If you really want peace of mind, I'd say book it yourself. Good luck!

Who did you use?

Who did you use?

The first time was just a local person and the second time was AAA. It could've been because they just switched to MYW stuff and they didn't know what was going on, but still. Since I've joined the DIS boards, haven't used a TA since. :thumbsup2 Love the DIS!

I'm using an agent that is a Disney Vacation Planner.

They should definitely know (hopefully) what they're doing then! Do whatever you're most comfortable with. I'm sure your trip will be fantastic no matter what, you'll be in Disney!

I called this morning at 6:58 am and pushed 1 a couple times ( 3?)to get through the menu. I got right in and booked our lunch for October. It was much easier than I expected! Like a previous poster, I prefer to handle reservations myself so I can be sure to get what we wanted. If you decide to call yourself, have your resort confirmation if you are doing 180 plus 10 (this is what I did) and your credit card.

We're really looking forward to this!

So can we book 180 or 190?

What is the plus 10?
