There is an appetizer plate that is brought out for the whole table to share (maybe that's what they meant?), but then each person individually orders their entree and dessert. When we were there, the chef's tasting plate (the appetizer plate) consisted of 2 pieces of bruschetta, a couple slices of salami, a few cubes of cheese, a big scoop of artichoke salad, and some grapes. It was a little "different", I thought. I didn't like it, but I was on the verge of getting a really bad cold, so I wasn't feeling that great.
DD got a hot dog, green beans, and chicken noodle soup (gross), my mom got a nice looking ciabatta turkey sandwich, and I got the major domo's favorite pie (a pastry with beef and vegetables and a VERY garlicky sauce). DD had a yummy sorbet for dessert and mom and I got the chocolate cream cheese buckle (good).
We liked breakfast a lot better here, but it was enjoyable eating in the castle with the princesses again.
Hope this helps answer your question!
