CRT link to DDP failing

Hi all,
Sorry if this has been posted many times before but I can't find the answer.
I was just trying a dummy booking prior to real 180+10. I tried CRT as I know it requires a CC booking. Am I right in thinking that if I can link my DDP then the CC isn't charged directly but is used to hold the reservation? If I can't link the DDP then when does the charge go onto my card?

I'm asking because I can't get DDP to link to my reservation. Then since I tried I now can't even retrieve my reservation (but it does still show up on the app)!

I am in the UK so using the UK site. I wanted to do as many ADRs as possible online to avoid long international phonecalls.

Any advice please on
a) how credit card charges work with CRT
b) how to link my DDP
c) retrieving my reservation

Phew! Thank you in advance- I'm keen to get glitches ironed out so 180+10 is a magical day!! :rotfl:

I'm not in the UK but I had the same problem. I couldn't get it to link and didn't want to put it on my cc especially since I had just put money towards my balance. I had to call and do it over the phone. Even though it didn't show up on my computer it shows up in theirs so if you have the ddp they will not charge your card. They do keep it on record in case you are a noshow in which case they charge you but I don't remember how much, they will tell you when you call.
