I've only seen reviews of CRT for the Character Breakfasts, but has anyone dined here for lunch or dinner?

I thought it would be fun to eat in the castle, but I don't want to fight the breakfast crowd..

I had a WONDERFUL dinner at CRT back in 98. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable!!

Enjoy!!

I've eaten both lunch and dinner there. Prefer lunch, it seemed a little more relaxed. Dinner was good, but I'd really recommend lunch there.

We had lunch there last December. Very fun - we really enjoyed it. The food was pretty good, but the main thing was the atmosphere. Iwould recommend lunch because the lunch and dinner menus are the same but lunch is cheaper. We had the earliest lunch seating time, and were among the first group in. We had a wonderful window view of the carrousel.

We have a PS for DD's 4th birthday for dinner there. I hear Cinderella isn't officially "there" but comes out a door for unofficial greetings typically :)

(We tried like heck to get a PS for her breakfast - to no avail) :(

So - we're keeping our fingers crossed.

The menu is *very* limited, but I've heard good things about the filet.

We ate there last week for lunch. Loved the fancy castle atmosphere, and the food was excellent.

Cindy was downstairs in the lobby for autographs, in between appearances in the Castle show.

We ate there last summer for dinner and loved it. The nightime adds more drama to the castle, and we were able to view the fireworks from the inside looking out. Really breathtaking! the filet mignon was really breathtaking too!;)

We had an experience very much like Kaycee, also last Dec. Be sure you have a PS as there is a lot of walkup traffic there. We had a window seat, good food, excellent service, and it was the least expensive sit-down lunch of our trip!

there are about 7-8 entrees on the lunch menu
and 11-12 entrees on the dinner menu.....

I like more things on the lunch menu, but I like dinner because of the steak :)

We've only dined here for dinner, and this year our PS is hitting around Wishes, so we'll get to experience if from inside the castle. (I heard they used to dim the lights and pump in the music, but they don't do that for Wishes anymore. We'll see.) Personally, I'd prefer to go for lunch since it seems to be cheaper, but my friend prefers the dinnertime ambience. I imagine the darkness gives it a more medieval feel...

Have fun!

We had lunch there in September. The food was good. Cindy was in the lobby for pictures and autographs.:D

just an FYI...you can't see the whole Wishes presentation from the castle....I like it a lot better from outside :)

And the restaurant has at least 3 different settings for the lights, one for lunch, one for dinner, and one for fireworks.....the seaters or servers just have to walk over to the button and push it.....we DO have the music and dim the lights though....

All I can say is, the first time we dined at CRT it was because of my DD (since she is a princess and all...princess: ) but now each trip we make to WDW we have to do dinner there by request of my DH. He was so impressed with the tenderloin steak and dessert, that we can't NOT have one of our meals there.

Try it. You will not be disappointed.

We have been twice. We love the atmosphere and the service has always been top notch. On our last visit there for lunch dh and I were both disappointed with the prime rib. It honestly had the taste and texture as if it had been left over from the night before and reheated in the microwave. The other entrees our party ordered were fine, but because of our experience I think I would try dinner next time instead of lunch. Just my opinion and I may be TOTALLY off base but their breakfast crowd is so huge that they have less time switching over and preparing lunch than they do between lunch and dinner.

We ate dinner there a couple years ago and loved it! DH still talks about the prime rib he had, as well as his dessert--he can't remember what the base was, but it was topped with the best mango sorbet we have ever tasted!

We were lucky enough to sit inside the alcove where the leaded glass windows are and viewed the entire fireworks show. Just beautiful! But, I hear Wishes isn't viewed as well from inside.

All in all, a great meal!
Katie
