CRT - Do you stay on hold or do you hang up & call back?

Ok, I am not new to this. I've read all the advice (call 6:58 est, using official gov't time, 60 days out from 1st day, keep calling for each day of vacation, short spiel, use the redial button, call back to check for cancellations, etc....)

We have gotten CRT PS before on 2 other trips, but I am not having any luck this time...I've failed for 5 days in a row now for this trip! I'm not too devastated because we have an Epcot Princess meal planned (for the am of my DD's 4th birthday -shhhh!), but I would like to get CRT, too.

So here's my ?? - I know to hang up on the "We are closed" recording and hit redial, but when you actually get put on hold...Do you stay there....I get very ansty when 3 minutes passes, and I hang up and redial. I can't remember if this worked last time or not....

Please help...hang up & redial...or chill out and hold, even for 3 , 4 or 5 minutes?!

Well I have yet to call for CRT ressies( I will do this next month), but I was able to get the rare and coveted Illumination Cruise for our November trip. ( I think this may be harder to get than CRT)
I called and was put on hold. I contemplated hanging up ,but stayed on the line just so I could hear for the second day in a row that I was TOOO LATE! However, I was told there was one left and it was mine!!!!
I guess the moral of the story is hang on until you speak to someone. I think you lose your place in line and waste time redialing once they have opened.

For 3 days we were put on hold for a few minutes and werent able to get it once the CM finally picked up. On the 4th day we called on our regular phone and were put on hold. About a minute later we tried on our cell phone and waited on hold for about 4-5 minutes more. Finally our cell phone was the one that got answered and we were able to book it then. So, from my experiecne(only getting it once, so thats not much) I would think wait on hold.

I used home phone and cell phone. With one I waited on hold the other I kept hitting redial. I got the ps on the phone that I waited on not redialing....

I worked in a call center a couple years back. From the Christmas rush, they would tell us that as calls are put on hold, they are in a queue which will pull the next call in line up as soon as an operator has an open line. Based on this, I would think that most on hold calls are answered in the order they are received.

We just stay on hold, and generally the phone that gets through is the one that was put on hold LAST!

I use the two phone system also.... but I forget which one suceeded.........
