Has anyone had dinner at CRT? How was it? How was the character/princessess interaction? If you went with a child....do you remember the food selection?
Thanks
Thanks
I can only comment on the food from November '09 and we enjoyed it. While I did not find it of five star quality - everyone was happy. I ordered the salad and wished I had gone with the Chicken Rice soup after tasting my DHs. The majority of us had the filet mignon and it was very good. We added a little magic and ordered the Cinderella slipper from the GF. This was pricey and will not do it again since dessert comes with the meal. It was cute, but too much by the end of a big meal. DD4 (3 at the time) just ate the fresh berries that came with it while I had to polish off the slipper.
As for the princesses - I have read that they are at the dinner now and we have made our ADR for the upcoming Nov/Dec '10 trip. We did breakfast years ago and I though the interaction was good - not fantastic. Some of the princesses were patient and gave extra attention, while others seemed to rush you. (I have a picture of Snow White not looking to happy when our camera was not functioning right - she looks ticked just as the camera finally snapped. It made us giggle though after the trip.)
I can't comment on CRT since it's been a full 10 years since we were there and I don't really remember a whole lot of character interaction at that time. BUT...I will tell you that the princess character interaction at Akershus in Norway was OUTSTANDING. We booked it literally at the last minute, as my (then) 13 year old was feeling sorry for herself that the trip was "all about her 4 year old brother". We literally scrapped plans to go somewhere else and chose Akershus at the very last minute and were lucky to get ADRs.
We're heading back next year and, while I do intend to do CRT this time, my daughter is absolutely insistent that we go back to Akershus. She loved it that much.
When we were there, we saw Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Aurora and Ariel. Each of the princesses made it to the table more than once, even. The food was different than anything I'd ever thought of trying, but it was very good.
ETA: I noticed that you have a 5 year old son. I thought you should know that it was my (almost) 5 year old son's favorite meal and character interaction, surprisingly. I never would've thought he'd enjoy the princesses.![]()
We did lunch at CRT last year and it was my teenage daughters favorite thing from the ENTIRE trip. The princesses were Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Cinderella greats you at the entrance for a photo op. The other princesses made the rounds and stopped at each of the tables for pictures. The princesses even loved on DH a little bit which was quite funny. I have pics of my girls with all of them. My oldest daughter who is going to be 15 this year could not stop talking about it. She was so in awe with the whole thing she barely touched her food. She loved it!! The food was also great. We are going back again this year for lunch.
Did they add a filet to the menu? I thought it was just prime rib?
Thank you, we did do CRT breakfast 2 years ago and my son love it. He requested to ate at the castle again to see his princesses...he got so much attention the last time we were there and the princesses too so much time at our table made the experience memoriable. We went for breakfast so I wanted to give dinner a try. What did your ate?
