Is CRT Dinner as nice as lunch now with character interaction? And is it easier to book?

If I were to book online for lunch and it was not available, but dinner on that day was - would the site automatically offer a slot or would it skip it as it is a different meal time?

I just switched nights for my early June trip for CRT without issue.

As for looking for lunch and it offering dinner instead, it might work if you looked for a 3:30 lunch time and they had a 5pm dinner available, but I wouldn't expect it to offer up a 7:30. Does that make sense?

It will look at the hour before and after. So if you pick 6pm it will search from 4to7.

We just did dinner there a month ago and really enjoyed it. My son (5) loved having his birthday dinner there and talks a lot about how neat it was and how much he loved meeting the princesses.
