CRT dinner and timing for fireworks

Hi. I just made an ADR for CRT dinner at 5:40pm on a day when the park closes at 7:00 and the fireworks are scheduled at 6:00. We'll have our 4y/o dd and 18 mo old ds with us.

Does anyone know how long it takes to take pictures with Cinderella, get seated, etc. for the dinner? Do the fireworks start at exactly 6pm and how long does the show last?

I'm just wondering what to expect. I'd hate to be downstairs taking pictures during the fireworks show. If we are seated, do they turn out the lights? (Sorry, lots of questions!)

We did this a few years back. They are ususally right on time with the fireworks. Our DD was a little older, so the picture taking wasn't an issue. Perhaps get there a little early so you can have the pictures done an over with and be in the resturant in time.

They dim the lights and pipe in the sound as I recall. The kids all gathered around the windows, as did I! We did this as a suggestion from the Disboards. It was a very enjoyable unique way to enjoy the fireworks. The meal was pretty good, if memory serves correctly.

We did this in February and it was AMAZING! It took quite a while to be seated so plan to arrive 25 minutes early and tell the hostess how excited you are to see the fireworks from inside the castle. We sat one row back from the windows and could see out of several windows that way. Yes they start on time and they dim the lights very low and pipe in the music. They keep the lights down for 2 songs after the fireworks too. I would bet they will try to seat you before they dim the lights, but get there early just in case. It is sooo worth it. PS. I had the BLT salad, the pork medallions with cheese casserole and the rasberry sorbet- all delicious!

wanted to add that the castle is roped off that close to fireworks time. Just let the CM at the rope know you are dining in the castle and they open the rope just for you.

Thanks for the replies. If it were possible, would a slightly earlier dinner time work better? Will they let you take pictures early if you're there before your ADR time?

I was able to change it to 5:25. Hopefully that will be better. Surely we'll still be eating and in there at 6:00.

Fireworks ALWAYS begin on time (weather permitting).
The show is 12 minutes long.
