I was lucky enough to get a ADR for 10 at CRT I put the deposit on my credit card. I was wondering how the final payment at CRT is done. Do they take the deposit off each persons meal? We are traveling with two other families and just want to know what to expect.

They don't put anything on your credit card unless you fail to cancel 24 hours in advance and then not show up for your ADR. Your card will be charged $10 for each person on the reservation at that time. Of course, if you DO show up, you can pay any way you like. Make sure you keep your ADR confirmation #s handy and copied in several different places, just in case. I sent an email to my blackberry with all my numbers, and then saved it.

While this may have been true at one time, it isn't the case now - within a few days of making the reservation with Disney Dining, the deposit *will* be charged to the credit card.

When dining at CRT, a "lump sum" credit will appear on the receipt - so if the bill is for $126.78, for example, a line will appear with a credit for $75, or whatever the amount is, so that you'd only pay $51.78 at the restaurant.

(I was just making those numbers up, out of the blue - for a party of 10, the bill will be quite a bit higher.)

Thank you for the information. I did get to items charged on my CC (we are split between two tables).

I will just collect the deposit for the other members of our party when the bill comes. Wow I pretty much already have that meal payed for.

Very odd, I was charged nothing at all. I wonder if it was because I mentioned the dining plan when they asked me? Very interesting!

That is possible, anytime we've ever dined at CRT's over the past 4 years we've always been billed for the deposit on our credit card prior to our trip. The deposit is then subtracted from the total amount of the bill. PSB has a credit card hold policy where the card IS NOT billed unless the PS or ADR is not cancelled within 48 hrs of the PS/ADR. Does that make sense?? :goodvibes

We had lunch there last week - IT WAS WONDERFUL princess: princess: - They DID charge our card the deposit before we got there. When we paid the bill (cash) they gave us our deposit back in cash. Have a great time. All the princesses were so sweet taking plenty of time & pictures with us

I was charged a $30 deposit for CRT. I am on the dining plan and told them that when I made the adr. I called yesterday to ask about them refunding the $30. She said since I had made more than 6 sit down adr's (I am only staying 6 nights, so on the dining plan it would cover 6 sit down meals) and that is why I was charged $30. I said to the lady that I planned on using the dining plan for that paticular meal and would pay in cash for other sit down adr's. I also told her that at the time I made the adr I had only made 2 sit down adr's and should not have been charged in the first place.

So in conclusion I am suppossed to be refunded my $30 when I check in at the podium at CRT.

Hope this helps someone.
