CRT Deposit

Could someone tell me how the deposit for CRT works? Am I correct that it is $10/pp. Do they charge your credit card immediately and then deduct the deposit from your bill? or is the deposit like a guarantee show you will show up and your credit card is never charged?

My CC was charged within a couple of days. It was $10 adult and $5 child. This is subtracted from your total bill.

We were charged $10 per person when we made the PS and the deposit was subtracted from the total bill when we got to the breakfast.
