CRT changing character experience?

Hi, I read this morning on a blog, that CRT will be changing to Fairytale Dining in February (7th, I think) and that once you meet Cinderella and have the pic taken, her friends, the princessess will meet and greet with you at your table.

Anyone else have more information on this?

That is how it has always been the past 2 times we ate there.....The first time they didn't do the pic with Cindy but all the princesses including Cindy came to the tables. Then the second time they did the pic with Cindy and all the princesses again came to the table. I believe Cindy still came to the table. Both times were for lunch....

At breakfast and lunch, Cinderella has been among the circulating princesses in the dining room. At dinner, you got your photo op with Cinderella, and there were no circulating princesses in the dining room, but there was a "floor show" with the Fairy Godmother and Cinderella's mice.

The current announcements are vague enough that no one can tell for certain, but it appears to be this: After some date in February, all three CRT meals will follow this format - photo op downstairs with Cinderella, then circulating princesses (not including Cinderella) in the dining room.

Oh, cool! I thought Cinderella was the only princess there. And that the rest was a show with the Fairy godmother and the mice. What princesses were there?

What you describe is the way it has been for a long time at breakfast and lunch. You have your picture taken downstairs with Cinderella and then the other princesses circulate, pose for pictures and sign autographs in the dining room.
Cinderella and the princesses have not been at dinner. I wonder if that is the change. It has only been the Fairly Godmother and the 2 mice.

We ate dinner at CRT a couple of weeks ago, and our waitress said that the dinner was changing to be exactly like the breakfast and lunch. Out goes the show and in come the princesses. This begins sometime in February.

looks like we will just miss this change since we have ressies for February 3rd at dinner. Oh well, we're also doing Akershus and 1900 Park Fare Cinderella/Prince Charming meals so we'll see the princesses anyway.

We did both of those this year.

We did Dinner at 1900 Park Fare first; your pic was taken in front of the Christmas tree, but just your party. We had Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremain, Drucilla and Anatasia. Every one of them came to our table. Drucilla even asked us for a pen to use at the other table and complimented us for being so "well-prepared." Prince Charming commented to us that we must have come from a very long carriage ride from DE....

We also had dinner at Akerhaus, and we had our pic taken with Belle in her ball gown at the entrance lobby. Beautiful back-drop. We saw Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and barely saw Mary Poppins before we left for the evening.

Both wonderful times. Cinderella reminded us that since we were traveling w/o princes, we needed to remember to be home before midnight!

I wrote a letter to Disney asking for clarification about this because all the information I have seen about it so far hasn't been very clear as far as how it is written. Some of the information seems like just a name change, then possibly a character change at breakfast and lunch, then maybe additional characters at dinner, and maybe a change in how meals are served.

I have to say that I don't want the Princesses at dinner. Isn't breakfast and lunch (and all 3 meals at Akershus) enough? Why does a meal in the castle HAVE to equal a meal full of Princesses?

Does this mean the new castle for Belle (2012) will be character free?

I do like that they are adding princesses for dinner. I think it will make the meal itself easier to book in the future.

But I do have to say I'm sad the Fairy Godmother's show will be going away. We've done it twice and found it to be absolutely charming!
