CRT Breakfast or Lunch?

My DH, DD4, and I had breakfast there last year and loved the atmosphere. (The price increase is deterring me somewhat in dining here at all, but my DD will only be in the "princess" stage a little longer.) The food left a lot to be desired (I thought) but we loved the chance to be in an "empty" park for an early seating. This year I'm considering lunch. My BIL and MIL will also be joining us...first time for them eating in the castle.

So...breakfast or lunch? Which do you prefer?

Keeping this bumped up to get some answers........my children are long out of the "princess stage" Hopefully we have parents who still do these types of meals and can give you their opinions.

I've done both and prefer the lunch. Character interaction was about the same at both, but I thought the food was better, and more filling at lunch. If you do want to do a character breakfast you could do Crystal Palace, my favorite breakfast place, and that would still get you into the park early.

I agree with the last poster. The food at lunch is a lot better and seems to be a better value with the new prices. $30 a person for breakfast seems a little outrageous, but not quite so bad for lunch since you'll get appetizers, entree, and dessert. We've done breakfast and lunch and will be returning for lunch in May.

Well, we have only done lunch so I can't compare, but I hate paying huge prices for eggs and pancakes. We really enjoyed our CRT lunch. I had the Major Domo Pie...it was flaky, creamy, meaty, crisp symphony of flavors. I also enjoyed some of what would have been my son's grilled asparagus (asparagus for an 11 yr old...yeah right). He had the salmon and while he said it wasn't quite as good as mine (aww he knows who to butter up) he said it was very good. My DD7 had chicken strips and they were fine. We all enjoyed our desserts too. DS11 and I had these moist cream cheese filled blueberry muffinish things with raspberry sherbert and a drizzle of lemon sherbert. My DD7 had ice cream with a chocolate crown. I also can't comment on "is it worth it" much because we were on the free dining plan. I think I'd have paid for it out of pocket as a once in a lifetime thing.

Another thing to think about is your schedule... we like to be at MK at rope drop and plan our path... Dumbo, Buzz, etc. before the crowds get there. We take a break at 1ish and then depart the park afterwards, so eating around 1pm is perfect for us as a 'last activity' before we depart for the day. We would rather not waste uncrowded park time doing a CM breakfast...

just my $.02.

:flower: We went to the breakfast in July and I already said that we won't be having breakfast there again because it was not worth the money at all. I won't mind trying the lunch when we go back in June 06.

Thanks everybody! Lunch it is!!!! PLUS...I just re-checked my schedule. The morning I was considering breakfast was EMH morning anyway (according to past and present EMH schedules.) Wouldn't want to be wasting that precious time eating breakfast!!!

Thanks again!
