Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty new at all this but I LOVE Disney World! So, I'm planning our 2nd trip to Disney this November and we really really want to go to CRT. We'll be celebrating my DD8's b-day. Is it better to eat here for breakfast or lunch? Do the characters change and is the food better at one or the other? Plus, I want to surprise all 3 of my girls with a makeover at BBB. Should I plan that first and then breakfast? Wow, can you tell I'm a newbie?? Thanks! :goodvibes

We did the lunch the last two years. I have my DD5 go to BBB before lunch. It is wonderful. I thought breakfast was too rushed with doing BBB and then squeezing in breakfast and pictures after that. That is why I prefer lunch. Plus, it gives us a break from the heat during the middle of the day. As far as the food goes, the food is OK. Nothing great at breakfast or lunch, but I do not think it is about the food. It is about the experience. That being said, the lunch menu is certainly good food. Just not great.

I've never eaten breakfast there, so I can't really compare the two, but we like eating lunch in the castle. I also schedule our BBB appointment so DD can be dolled up to meet the princesses, so I'd vote for lunch.

Thanks! I'm so excited to take my 3 girls. They are going to love it since they're all about princesses (: I think I'll do breakfast at Crystal Palace then and shoot for reservation at CRT for lunch. How long did you schedule for the BBB and then onto lunch? OK, I might be just as excited as my girls! There's just something special about Disney World isn't there?

I'd also recommend BBB then lunch. We've scheduled BBB 1 hour prior to our meal time and this was perfect! It only takes about 15-25 minutes to do the actual hair and makeup, but there could be a wait-- it was rather chaotic and busy when we were there last October.

I think the lunch is a better "value," although people go more for the experience than the food. However, paying $34 for eggs, fruit, breakfast breads, and sausage etc just seems to be too much to me. I'd rather pay an extra $2 and get a better meal. I really like the lunch meal.

Since the princesses rotate, even during the same meal there might not be the same princesses between their visits. The 4 featured princesses come out at the same time, make their rounds, then leave. They're timed and come out again for the next meal seating.

Also, do you plan on going to Crystal Palace for breakfast the same day as your CRT meal? I think it would be a lot of food for a short time frame.

Be sure to tell them it's your daughter's birthday when you make reservations. BBB also offers a "Birthday Princess" sash rather than the regular one.

No matter which meal, I'm sure your daughters will be happy to eat in the castle and to be done up like a real princess!

Good luck making your ADRs!

Never did lunch we did breakfast when it was still 1 TS credit on DDP. We really enjoyed it and didnt feel rushed at all! There was so much food! First they brought out fruit bowl and pastries, orange juice and coffee then eggs, sausage, bacon, and french toast (you could ask for more if needed too) We were absolutely stuffed! We had every WDW princess there was and more there that morning they made their rounds to each and every table!

Thanks everyone! We're so excited to go and CRT will be magical for me and my girls. They are SO into princesses (: You know, I was always captivated by Cinderella's Castle but the first time I actually saw it up close, I was so bummed! You could only walk through it, nothing was inside! Now we can go inside and I can hardly wait. My girly girls will flip out when they see it!
