We've got an 8:05 PS scheduled for CRT on a nonearly entry day. Has anyone been to CRT recently? How was the experience? Is it worth getting up early? We're staying offsite, so I think it's definitely worth it. However, I'm going to have to convince my husband this is worth getting up early - so anything you can give me will help. Thanks!!!

We went in August. I would say it was worth it. The only reason we booked it was because we were bringing my nieces. I would never have bothered for just my DSs. Well, now I want to go back again, but just because of the food. It was awesome! DH didnt really care for the potatoes, but I loved them. And the cheese filled french toast was out of this world. I wish they offered those items at another breakfast or take out or something easier to get.
Another advantage you will have is if you get there right on time, you will be done right as the park is opening. We had an 8:25 PS, but were taken right away when we arrived, around 8:10. We were done and in the park by 9:00 which helped us to avoid lots of lines.
When we entered the MK there was a CM standing near an old fashioned fire truck, asking if anyone was going to the castle. When we said yes he told us to hop on. We did and he gave us a ride up an almost deserted Main St, right to the castle. It was so cool. So if you are interested, look for that.
As you can tell, we really enjoyed our Cindys experience.

If you are going mostly for the food, it is NOT worth it, but if you are going for the whole experience and are into meeting the characters and being in the atmosphere of the castle with the meal being of least importance, then it IS worth it! It is also wonderful being in the park w/just about no one else! There are great picture ops :)

We ate there last week, and the kids sure had a blast. The food was ok, but certainly not worth $20/pp+ tip. This was our second time going and probably our last for a few trips! I do love being inside the castle though!!! So maybe we will try lunch next time :) For characters we had: Fairy Godmother (in waiting area), Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Belle (blue dress), Prince Charming and Jasmine.

If it were just my husband and I, I would probably not go for breakfast. I would most likely do lunch or dinner because, the food at breakfast alone is just not worth it (I have not had lunch or dinner there, so that may not be that great either). I do enjoy the characters, but not so much the princesses. However, I love being in the castle...Every girls dream :)

We just ate at CRT on Sat 10/19. We felt it was well worth getting up early for. The characters were great and we thought the food was pretty good too. We had Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and Mary Poppins with the Fairy Godmother in the lobby area. Under normal circumstances I would agree that $20 per adult is pretty steep for the food you get, but there's so much more to this experience than just the food. My husband was very skeptical about doing character meals before we went, and he couldn't have been more impressed. We had an early seating like you do, and were finished eating just in time for the rope drop at the castle. We were able to ride Dumbo, Pooh, and Peter Pan within 15 minutes. Later in the morning the posted waits were over 30 minutes for each! We also got some excellent family pictures on a nearly empty Main Street. Very cool! I don't think you'll be disappointed!:D :D

In addition to the characters I listed above, we had Snow White too :)

Like I said if you are not going so much for the food (BTW-which is not bad.. just not worth the price), it is well worth it!!! Plus, if you have never been before, it is a must do at least once! Have a great time :)

We were there 10/21. Definately worth it! Food good (not a buffet for a change)., service good. Attmosphere excellent. Characters good too. Overall, intimate and nice place.

Added plus .... at 8:05 you'll should be able to enter the park early. Seeing the castle with NO ONE IN FRONT OF IT, is awsome! Great picture opportunity. That to my husband (who is not into characters) was worth it.

We had our picture taken of entire family with no one in front of us by a CM. Went back at 3:00 to pick it up, and the photographer goofed and it was unclear. (AND He took TWO pictures). Needless to say we were very bummed, we had a ton of pictures of just kids and that would have been nice one of entire family.
