CRT and Wishes?

Hi! I'm wondering if CRT is a good place to view Wishes? I could only get an 8:35 pm reservation which means we will be in the Castle during Wishes. Wondering if I should try to switch my reservation to lunch? Thanks!

Inside the restaurant is not a good location for viewing Wishes because the fireworks are happening above/behind the castle, where you will be inside.

I think the dinner we had in the castle during Wishes is one of my favorite disney memories, ever! Now I do reccomend that you actually see the show at least once during your trip facing the castle. Inside the castle, it's a different but very intimate and magical experience. ask for a seat near the windows. (We were the second row back. When the fireworks start, they dim all the lights and pump in the music. The room illuminates with each burst of color. Some of the fireworks are actually shot off from the turrets just outside the windows. It was a loud boom each time and quite exciting. No you wont "see" the show. But you do see all the color bursts both outside and as it fills the dining room with color. With the music too, it was a very magical and special experience.

Wow! That changes things! Maybe I will keep the reservation and just see Wishes outside on another night! That sounds amazing!

We were there last Nov. and had an 8:10 reservation. We finished about 5 minutes before Wishes was to start at 10:00. When we walked out of the castle with another couple and their kids, our strollers were roped IN the castle area. The CM told us to go through the castle to the front to see Wishes. We were roped IN from the front, too. It was the most magical experience! There we stood right under where Tinkerbell was to fly, looking out over 1000's of people. We felt like superstars! We watched Tink and then walked down to the end of the ramp close to the rope and watched the fireworks. Granted, it wasn't the best view of them, but we could see them. But, the feeling of being all alone, with no one touching us, bumping us, blocking our view with a child on their shoulders was just magical! I felt like Pixie Dust had been sprinkled on us!

All of that to say, if you do finish dinner right as Wishes starts, I hope you get to experience that.

As PPs have said, the best view of the fireworks is from outside the castle (I'd say on Main Street), but there is something magical (and fun) about seeing the fireworks from inside CRT. During a trip to WDW last Christmas, we timed it so we would be having dinner during fireworks. Here are a couple of photos of the fireworks through the stained glass windows:

Wow! Gorgeous photos! Well, I checked every night she is going to be there and the 8:20 pm reservation is the only one available. I think they will have dinner at CRT their second night there and then watch the fireworks from outside another night - get the best of both worlds! Thanks everyone!
