I still can't believe how long I waited after mine came in, and after doing the "preview" of it, I am now waiting until November to do the first fitting. Awesome! So I'm not alone in the delay-ing department.

How far before the wedding am I supposed to start fittings?
My wedding is March 30th.

We are aiming for a mid-December completion on my gown and I was told absolutely no later than 6 weeks before for the frist fitting. I hope that helps!

That's so exciting that your dress came in!!! Boo on so much money to spend!! I, like you ordered my dress very early (April) and it is set to come in next month!!!!!!! I think they just didn't order the dress until I called in September to ask about it! PLEASE take some pics of you in your dress!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

Picked up dress today! Links to dress pics is up! ​

I piced up my dress today. That meant driving 1.5hr both ways. Add in the hour long: look it over, try it on, deliberate on things, and pay up...and I am tired!

Good news is:
- the dress is in good condition
- it is only the slightest bit big on me, so not to much in the way of alternations, I think
- it's beautiful
- I made it there and back alive!
- it's in my closet and I don't have to worry about when I will get it
- i'm in better shape than I was when I bought! I think it looks even better on me now than it did then
- I had $300 store credit so I got my veil free and my slip free
- I don't have to drive to the store again! They will ship the aforementioned
- I don't need a bra because the dress has one built in....yes, honey, I'll be top-commando

The bad news:
- I tend to have buyer's remorse...I am driving DF nuts by wondering if I got the right dress
- I'm not sure I want to wear a veil, so hopefully I didn't waist my store credit
- I don't have make up on in the pictures, because I was afraid of getting it on the dress, so yeah...be merciful!
- the garment bag as dirt all over it. I'm not sure if the store gave it to me that way or if it is from my car...guess it's not a big deal though

Oh, I absolutely love the beading on the bodice; it is so beautiful The dress looks great on you!

It must be a relief to not have to worry about traveling back and forth anymore. I know my dress shop was over one hour away and it was such a pain to have to go there.

For not needing too many alterations.

I too had buyer's remorse, I guess it's because I never got that "this is the one" feeling, so don't worry in the end I loved my dress and I don't feel any regrets looking at our wedding shots.

I tend to get buyer's remorse too and have been wondering if I bought the right dress too. I really hate buying things for myself let alone something so pricey.

I think that dress looks great on you though and you will look amazing on your day.
