Crowds?

Have been reading on other sites that the crowds are down in comparison to last year. Is this true?

I will be in the area Aug 28 thru Sept 1. I am really hopping that it will not be as crowded as it was on my last trip. So even if its down just a little that would be great!

We're just back from a 4 day trip to DL. We were absolutely amazed at the crowds -- or lack of. We were in the parks Friday night, Saturday and Sunday all day and Monday morning. Saturday afternoon/evening was the only time I would say we saw "real" crowds. Friday night we didn't wait more than 10 or 20 minutes for any ride -- so we knocked out the big ones -- Pirates, Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise. Sunday we spent at CA and didn't think it was very crowded at all. We're newbies to DL -- usually go to WDW. I think it's a lot more crowded at WDW than DL -- even though it was peak "summer" season.

I would think you would not have big crowds for your trip.

I read in our local newspaper last week (Orange County Register) that Disney profits/stock was up....but due to WDW having like a double digit increase in visitors and revenue. DL was waning. The profits and attendance were down from last year. And they said they cut back the discounts they offered to try and recoup, but to no avail. I think a lot of out-of-town guests are waiting until next year for the 50th. At least that is what I hope

In the meantime, all of you with summer DL vacations planned, enjoy and I hope the crowds stay minimal

Thanks for the info. I am hoping for low crowds. But if not I will have plenty of days to hit every thing.

Leaving at 3 am thursaday morning. It's raining here now (Atlanta, GA) I sure hope it dies down before tonight.

But I still have lots to do to get ready for the trip.
