Heading off to WDW on the 23rd August for sixteen days just wanted to know what the crowds are like at this time of year ?? and what the weather is usually like

The crowds aren't bad at all during the last week of August. Most the US kids will be back in school by then. So fairly moderate crowds, very manageable.

As for weather, it is hurricane season so anything can be expected. It is pretty hot, humid and with a daily afternoon thunderstorm (anywhere from 2-4pm).

I think it will still be busy, but not as busy as late July/Early August.

As for the weather....you will get all forms of weather. The storms can be fun to watch, just make sure you hold onto your hat!
