My family is going to WDW the week of October 25th. I've notice on the boards a lot of people are saying that most Disney resorts no rooms available during that week. Should I be expecting heavy crowds during this week. It's a good thing I purchased everything months in advance.

It will be our first time in WDW from 10/24 - 10/31. From my own research this was to be a slower time. However Disney is offering free dining that week, so I'm guessing that it will be busy and full. It is also Food & Wine at Epcot, and that will make a difference, on the late EMH and weekends especially.

I know how you feel. We are going the 21st to 27th and I see that they just added extra hours and parades for a few days and parks during out stay. Plus, hotel rooms are practically sold out.

I'm concerned, especially since this our first trip taking our 2 year old, so between the changes in touring (fp+) and not being accustomed to travel with a toddler, I'm bracing for difficulties. However, I told DH tonight that we'll make our own fun, as long as we're all together and on vacation. Now, just hope the weather is agreeable!

We'll be there. Ah well, I picked this week before the free dining announcement. We still don't do the free dining. I usually like to avoid it if I can. we will be visiting the beach the week after to recover, just in case.

I was at WDW last year from Oct 19-25 and it was my best trip as far as crowds and heat goes. The parks were busy but not ridiculous busy. We were still able to walk freely and hop on rides with little to reasonable wait times (10-30mins for most). The weather was also great, last year. Daytime highs were low to mid 80s and nights were 50 to mid 50s. This is my favorite time of year. You can do the Food and Wine Fest as well as MNSSHP. All the above reasons are why Im planning to go back in mid to late October 2016. Good luck :)

Disney has been running free dining during that week for quite a while now I think. I went that week in both 2012 and 2013 and loved it! Crowds were moderate and not bad at all. And like Frank4202 said, the weather was wonderful. I love that time of year! This year I am going a week earlier from 10/21-10/26. I hope the crowds and weather are about the same.
