Crowds Week of 8/13?

We are leaving on Friday 8/11 for Disney and we have mixed reviews of how crowded the parks would be during this time. With free dining going on I expected it to be crowded but some people have said that it starts to die down with kids going back to school or getting ready to go back to school. I called the other day to Member Services to try to adjust part of my reservation (we are DVC) and the CM told me that they are completely sold out for this week. Not just at Boardwalk where we are staying but at DVC resorts. Could this really be?! And then I guess it's not just crowded for free dining. I am thinking that now we should expect very heavy crowds. Any other opinions? I know it doesn't matter much at this point as we will enjoy ourselves either way, just wanted to have an idea of what to expect.

We'll be arriving on Sunday and have some of the same concerns.

As far as free dining, someone else voiced the opinion that it might not necessarily make the parks busier, but that people who would stay offsite might now stay onsite. I guess we'll see!

We always stay in a timeshare offsite, the free disney dining plan did not change our minds. We would rather stay offsite in a 2 bedroom villa then onsite in a one bedroom.

I dunno know. I was there last Labor Day Weekend w/free dining. It was crowded but not too bad that I wouldn't want to go back. As long as we use fass pass we shouldl be ok. Now the restaurants, that's a different story. If you don't have ADR's dining isn't looking good for you.
