was checking out the app and wait times for now. Dear God. Is this normal. Seems lime Easter/Xmas crowds. Wonder how rest of the summer goes. What slow criwds? Lol!

Been here since Monday and have thought how “less crowded” it is than our usual spring break trips. Granted headed to Disney Springs right now and not a park.

Was there yesterday and the day before, it was packed at all parks. Yesterday frozen was 115 min at 3pm, we did standby at figment and the queue extended outside and we waited about 25 min, living with the land got up to a 30 min wait. At AK when we had a Dinosaur FP the standby was about 55 min, safari was about 85.

Wednesday morning when we got to Epcot, Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and Frozen were all down. First two came back up but frozen was down for a couple hours. Thursday afternoon Spaceship Earth and Test Track were down again but both came back up by the time we got there around 2

That explains yesterday. I checked weather as that shuts alot down and then a ride like living land has a longer wait time. I have reached my annual check wait times to get a feel before our Aug trip

Yup, the fourth is next week. Plus, TS land opening will make for a busy summer and fall IMO. I don't think we will see slow crowds at all this summer. Plus, all Northern schools are now out for summer., many went very late into June due to making up snow days.

It was pretty busy in MK today, but there was a nasty t-storm that really made a mess of things. Even some indoor rides at MK were closed, so the only rides open had crazy long lines.

I've never heard of an indoor ride closing due to a thunderstorm - what causes that, do you know?

They said it was because they had no more room to exit guests. Everyone was taking shelter in the CoP entrance/exit area. Funny enough, the CM came in while we were watching the scene from the 1920s...for the second time (the ride was going slow as they were trying to move guests away from the exit). She told us to get up and leave right as we got to the part where the father "blew the fuse" and the entire theater went pitch black.

It was a bad storm. Vivid lightning, torrential rain, you could hear it inside the theater.

NYC schools got out on Tuesday, as per usual, it’s always late June here. My boss is taking her family down there tomorrow, three littles, husband and about a million extended family members. At work I’m known as the Disney Expert (I’m sure y’all can relate!) and we’ve been commiserating about our trips for this year. Yesterday I mentioned I was waiting for my FP window to open and she asked me what a FastPass was. o_O

You always hear people like this exist, but it's still shocking when you get a firsthand account of one.

I just got back after a week at WDW, and the crowds were as expected. As a group that varied in size between 3 and 8 riders at a time, we rode everything we wanted to, many times over, and still had time to hang out at the pool and even leave the bubble for some shopping and dining (gasp!). I won't wait in a line for more than 20 minutes, max. Thank the maker for FP+!

I'm confused. Were you expecting slow crowds for the weekend before July 4th?
It is totally normal for it to be extremely crowded right now
Good point! I think so many are fixated with the crowds with TSL, they haven't really thought this coincides with 4th of July week. We go in a couple of weeks and we are paying attention, hopefully it settles down a bit after this week though:-). The past few summers we have went, we have noticed much shorter overall crowds this time of year than a few years ago. I was so bummed the MK was only open until 10 last year (and delighted to see it open later much of our trip this year)...but once we got there and experienced, the crowds really were much lighter. We could still do all we wanted to do.

I do think there was a lull in the overall crowds the past 2 years and there is a pick up in them this year. It's not just TSL either, they've been up since well before TSL was on the horizon. Not sure what exactly has contributed to the increase. Probably not one thing

Yes, no doubt. We've been here since June 14th and have unquestionably noticed it is busier this summer than in '15-'17. Can't quantify specifically how much busier, but enough to notice. Still don't think it's horrible, but not as light as the last few years.
