Crowds this Friday - FF for Mt. Everest available?

We are flying in this Friday - flight arrives at 10:15 a.m. - we're getting a rental car & going to the hotel (off-site - only 1 mile away) to check in & then take their shuttle. We have to be at Epcot for a 5p performance of the Findlay, OH FFE show.

I hate to ask this - but we're only going this 1 day to the parks & want to ride Mt. Everest - do you think we could head to Animal Kingdom 1st - get a FF & then return later to ride it. Or do you think they'll be sold out.

Here's my best guess ... EE is new, and people have been mobbing the Fast Pass area first thing every morning. Add to that Friday is the start of the jam-packed Easter holidays, and yea, I'll bet a hundred Disney Dollars the FPs will be long gone by the time you get there. Unless of course you have some REALLY good luck!

I have read EE might not even be open on April 7 because of press events.

EE will not be open to the public until at least 2 p.m, possibly not at all on Friday.
