Crowds the week of Christmas

What are crowds like the week of Christmas? We are thinking of going a few days and leaving on the 24th or 25th.

I haven't been at Christmas but I've head the crowds are horrendous.

I haven't been there that week, but from what I've read here and on other sites, it is the most crowded time of the year. You may want to do some serious research before you book your trip.

We went this past December. I want to say we went the 17th to 22nd. The first day in the park was Dec. 18. There were no lines at AK at all. Each day the crowds got worse. By the time we were checking out I was glad b/c the crowds were too much for us at that point.
