crowds the week before Labor Day?

last time we went (1999!!!), went the week of Labor Day and crowds were for the most part, very light. This time we're going week before Labor Day, what can I expect? Not terribly worried about the heat, not sure about the hurricanes, but hoping for somewhat lighter crowds.
Anyone with experience want to chime in here?
